Dishonest or incompetent? Had a service call thru American Home Shields Warranty to fix a leaking sink. They came out and said my water pressure was too high and I didn't have a pressure regulator. They said they would only fix the sink if I paid an additional $450 to install a regulator in addition to the $75 AHS service call fee because it could just break again. The guy was either incompetent or lied because my brother, who is a plumber who lives out of state, came over and the pressure was fine. He found that there was a pressure regulator in the crawl space even though they said I didn't have one and had to have one installed and pipe cut, etc. I called the company to talk to an owner about this so he would know he might have a rouge employee but they never responded so apparently it's more widespread. Just a warning to y'all. Beware!! I don't know if they work on commission or not, all I know is I was almost ripped off for $450 so I would never recommend them. There are too many good plumbing companies to risk using them.
