I called Terry for a lesson for our Spanish speaking au pair; I explained her limited English and was reassured that it wouldn't be an issue. Terry never showed up nor called on our first lesson - when I called, I was told she had forgotten to call and cancel due to weather. Understandable. I had to contact Terry multiple times in order to reschedule as I never received a return call from her. Today, Monica had her first lesson - upon returning, Monica was visibly upset, so I texted Terry to make sure the lesson went well. I was given some driving pointers for Monica as well as an explanation of the miscommunication and an apology. I understand that poor communication can be frustrating, but I can only imagine how poorly Monica was treated for her to return in tears. I have driven with Monica multiple times, and she has lived with our family for 5 months - I have never seen her cry until now. I, do however, commend Terry for apologizing and feel she handled the mishap professionally.
