I wish I would have read the reviews prior to entering the store. Perhaps I should have thrown up my red flag alert the moment I walked in and was verbally suffocated by the owner Todd. The moment I told him my reason for shopping he, like a vulture began selling his custom clothing service. No one twisted my arm but this savvy, "will do anything for a dollar" sales person convinced me that custom was the way to go. He assisted me with coming up with the design for the dress. Part way through I realized that I did not like it. He continued to tell me how sexy the dress was, that it was the right move and that i really should not assess until the final product. reluctantly proceeded. when the seamstress or his assistant would offer their opinion, both have background in sewing/design, he would rudely shut them down, to the point I felt very uncomfortable witnessing. Long story short, I paid for the dress upfront, which he requires. I told him that the final product looked matronly and old-fashioned. His response to me was, "I'm sorry you feel that way, Best of luck to you." Needless to say, There was no way that i would wear the dress to my formal event. Thank God for Dillard's. I found several plus-sized options there and felt confident in my selections. Bottom line, the owner of this store is evil. No other way to describe his bait and switch tactics. Expensive lesson, hopefully others will learn from my mistake.
