He is a scam artist- a thief- he might as well rob you. But his method is to show up- take a "deposit"- says he has to order parts and will be back. Arrived June 2 - took $200 check- no credit cards- so I cannot dispute the service - He made an appointment for June 26th to put in the part on my Bosch Fridge was a no show and never called back. I was assigned by a call center. I wish I had check on my phone his references and reputation. Then I would have seen how he has ripped people off. He already has a "F rating. I am pursuing legal action. I work in law already. Please contact me so we can band together and stop this thief. I mean he may as well robbed us all on the street - but we let this thief into our houses with trust and he just took our money. Contact me past & or current injured parties - let stop this con from ripping others off!.

DO NOT USE! I reached this repairman through "Belmont Appliance Repair" which actually takes you to a call center who dispatched John Jackson to repair my fridge. They wanted to take a credit card # over the phone to "hold" the appointment--first red flag--when I balked at this the person I talked to changed her tune and told me $50 for the service call would be due at that time. Mr. Jackson started out great, communicating his arrival and finding the issue. My mother met him and he told her it was $75 for the service call--2nd red flag-- and he had to order parts which would take 5 days. 14 days later I have to make two calls before he will return my call and I get the runaround about the part--3rd red flag but I was already out $75 and over 2 weeks in deep. The next day he schedules the repair for later that week--$204 although the service call was supposed to be deducted I was just glad to have it finally fixed after 3 weeks. Problem fixed, HOWEVER, in fixing one problem we discovered after he left he created another. When I tried to get him to come back he was dodgy on when he could and now won't return calls or texts. His business card is for Star Appliance Repair and HVAC but the phone number also links to a Professional Appliance Repair so he is obviously trying to start up business under an alternate name. Steer clear!

This company uses these self employed fly by nighters to come and over charge and do damage. Buyer beware of John Jackson (Jay). Incompetent, deceitful and will price gouge you. You will make your check out to Star Appliance, but they act like they have no responsibility for the guy they send. I was stuck over the holidays with people at the house. Jay came and charged $694. It took two weeks for Jay to come back and fix his first mess with a second mess. Today I had a reputable company fix his mess for $272 and the guy was shocked at the mess Jay made and the price gouge.
I took my Bernina machine in to be fixed. I was treated very well and was impressed with Berry. I was waited on and everyone was very helpful. Thanks Berry
I went into the store today and the lady acted like I was bothering her by coming in. Then when I told her what I was looking for she asked me exactly what type of machine I had. I told her and she gave me the impression that my machine was just one of those cheap ones. Then she went back to see if they had the foot I was looking for and she was very rude again. I felt like I had done something to her or caught her on a bad day. She also made me feel very stupid. She needs to one adjust her tone towards the customer, second she doesn't need to treat people like she's smarter and they are stupid. I will never go in that store again. This was not my first time in the store but will definitely be the last. Not sure that 1 star should even be given the treatment was so bad.
The Lawnmower Guy is a joke. I browsed web site and read the good review of The Lawnmower Guy in Charlotte, NC. Then I tried to contact them with all channels (their on-site request, email and phone calls) in past week.. But I never got a return. I was very upset. If you are out of business or can not handle business, then don't advertise your business. It just wasted customers' time.
