We recently had an exceptional experience with Jill Miller and Liz Wells from The W Realty Group. They were our agents when we were buying our new house. Their professionalism, friendliness, attention to details, and flexibility earned our trust and confidence in them right away. They were regularly updating us with new listings that fit our criteria in the area we wanted and worked around our busy schedules to show us houses. After considering several existing houses, we decided to build a new house. Jill Miller closely worked with the builder’s agent and addressed all of our questions about the building process. Furthermore, she questioned the builder on our behalf about all their contract documents/disclosers that we had to sign and discovered that there was an Addendum to sign that would make us aware of an environmental issue of that particular subdivision. Jill’s professionalism and attention to details rescued us from signing an agreement to build a house that would not meet our family’s requirements and expectations. So, we were able to get our deposit back from the builder just on time. Thank you very much, Jill!! We ended up purchasing a new constriction from another builder and are very happy with our new house. Jill was an enormous help with every single step of the purchase and with following up on post-closing items with the builder. Many people do not realize how important it is to have a professional real estate agent when buying a new construction. Once again, we would like to thank Jill and Liz for making us feel like we were their priority and for their knowledge and expertise in the real estate market. We are about to list our old house for sale with W Realty Group. We highly recommend this company to people interested in buying or selling a house with knowledgeable and trusted real estate professionals. Mr. & Mrs. Boesch
I just closed on my 15yr refi with Wyndham last week. I could not have been more satisfied with the way my mortgage banker (Scott Sopko) handled the transaction end-to-end. I'm rather analytical, and I do endless research before making a major decision like this. I think Scott picked up on this early on, and made sure to be responsive to those needs as my thinking went down several different paths until I made the decision that was most comfortable for me. That was the only way I would have been satisfied, and Scott gave me what I needed every step of the way. I appreciate the way he invested his time in the process early on, that gave me a comfort level at the beginning which set him and Wyndham apart from several other lenders I was talking to (some of whom quoted me slightly better rates). In an industry where you can probably always find a slightly better rate if you look hard enough, Scott's approach was a real differentiator between Wyndham and the competition. Every communication from Scott was high-value with very little wasted effort, something Mortgage Lenders probably need from their bankers as time is at a premium. Scott was very professional in all of his communications, something I noticed was lacking in the other bankers I had talked to before selecting Wyndham. I really cannot find anything lacking in Scott's approach with my particular situation, and I will definitely be recommending Scott personally to others that ask about my refi experience. Thanks again so much for the great experience, it truly was more than I ever expected.
One of the best decisions we made during my purchase of my home was to hire Julie Tuggle as my real estate agent. Unlike dual agents, she is a buyers agent and would solely work on behalf of the buyer. I built my house in NC living in NJ and was solely dependent on my agent to make key decisions. Choosing the lot location in a new development could be a very challenging decision and Julie helped us choose one of the best locations within my community. We had several issues with the builder and one of the major issue was that the builder denied home inspections during the construction phase. Julie fought tooth and nail with the builder and even took it to their management and eventually forced them to concede on the inspection and I was glad that a few structural issues were detected much early in the construction process and was fixed by the builder. She even sent the inspection report to the county inspector to verify/validate the structural fixes made by the builder. Julie and her partner Mike had been very friendly and would listen to your needs/requirements and work with you making your home purchase a dream come true. Overall I would highly recommend Julie Tuggle and Carloina's buyers agency for your real estate needs. Hiring a buyers agent is extremely important first step in your home purchase and Carolina Buyers Agency is one the best in Charlotte.
My 6 year old daughter has been taking martial arts with Hard Target for 9 months now, and is still excited about coming to class each and every time. Hard Target teaches martial arts skills, discipline, respect for self and others and much much more in a safe and fun way. The instructors have a natural ability to communicate with and teach children, and the studio is welcoming and CLEAN! I have watched my daughter's confidence, physical skills and self image blossom. This is by far the best activity we have been involved with, and cannot imagine a better environment for learning such important lessons and skills that will stay with her forever. Hard Target has been such a positive influence in my daughter's life, not just physically - but mentally and emotionally as well.
Bob Clark has been amazing from Lead Dog Realty. Not only is he extremely helpful and guides you through the process just like any other agent..he treats you like a real person as well. :) I have met a lot of agents in my time and he is amazing. My house sold quickly and I referred him to one of my good friends whose house sold within a week. You are getting the same service as any other agency you just are not getting robbed for tons of money and the staff is way more pleasant to work with. This is the only way to sell a home. Don't pay 3% to a sellers agent that isn't going to do anything for you. Bob will provide you with comps, do the paperwork, get you on MLS, setup showings site, lockbox, sign, take pics and stay in touch with you throughout the process.
I am a professional in Charlotte (I teach and coach people to do software development in teams). And a father. What Kevin Wilbourne has done with Charlotte Hapkido is very impressive. I have been coming for several years now. He treats each person according to their needs and abilities, always asking them to stretch a bit, but not too much. He is good with both kids and adults. I am not the expert on martial arts and Hapkido, but I have seen and heard about many other instructors. To me, he is the best I can imagine. He clearly understands and has an intuitive feel for how the human body works. And this enables him to teach better. And also a great person and a fun person to work with. I highly recommend these guys. Joe Little
100% Recommend PRISTINE PROPERTIES of Charlotte, NC. They are an Awesome Lawn Service, very reasonably priced and do excellent work. The owner is right there on the job with his workers. They've cut my lawn at least ten times over the last few years whenever I was not able to do it myself. They do a better job on my lawn than I do. I get a call from the owner or his wife letting me of any problems. I always fell like they care about their customers. That seems rare these days. Because they are conscientious, have excellent prices, and do what it takes to complete the job correctly and on schedule, I will be hiring them to cut the lawn and trim the shrubs for a long time to come! Thanks Jason, I appreciate all the good work. Colin W.
First Ms Suthers did not mentioned she live on the 3rd floor apartment parking deck which many companies said no to the services, not normal apartment our truck can park right in front the unit. Second we arrived, I told her is my hose not long enough to run for the services. Third, I told her hire company can use portable equipment so they can bring to her unit. Fourth, I told Ms Suthers that we can not do it. Fifth, I tried to be nice to take a job for her only clean one room which many companies and even our company did not want to take that job. A second later she was so rude and scream on my face with a very loud tone! I just leave. WE DID NOT GIVE SERVICES FOR HER.She needs learning how to respect people. Sorry it happened that way!
I can confidently suggest Downtown Carpet Cleaning to others with the great experience that I had recently. After my son's Birthday Party, my carpets and rugs with lots of stains needed to be cleaned and spots removed. I tried to rent a machine and do it, but unfortunately some of the stains got worse. Then I had these nasty looking stains and my wife complaining. So I got Downtown Carpet Cleaning based on their respectful reputation and reviews to come and handle these professionally. Stains disappeared and rugs and carpet became so clean. I am glad I did, I should have done from beginning to save more money and time. Thanks for your great services.
I highly recommend Leadership Martial Arts. It is a great place for all ages and all levels. Ever since my daughter started Little Ninjas in the Summer 2013, I was so impressed with the academy that I started training in February 2015. Because of my health, I have some physical restrictions. It has been easy to adapt, get a good work out and not feel that I am disrupting or slowing the class down in any way. Participating at the academy has been beneficial, both mentally and physically. As an added bonus, it is awesome Mommy & Daughter time together. Because of our positive experience, I definitely recommend LMA.
Mistakes happen, and when it comes to owning a carpet or rug, mistakes usually mean stains. The plush softness of carpet and rugs comes with a price: the time and care required to clean them. Cleaning your carpet or rugs can require some extra work and special techniques that differ from typical hardwood or tile floors. In some cases, you may even need to hire a professional to get the best results.
For minor stains or routine cleaning, it's possible to effectively treat a carpet or rug yourself. If a thorough vacuuming doesn't get rid of dirt in certain areas, here's how to tackle them on your own.
A number of liquids can stain carpet or rug materials, including wine, coffee, nail polish, or blood, to name a few. Depending on what caused the stain, the carpet or rug's material, and how long it's been there, you may need to use different techniques or cleaning supplies to get rid of it. In general, though, keep the following ground rules in mind for stain removal:
Take these steps to remove a stain as soon as possible to prevent drying.
Some stains may come out with little more than water or a mild soap. More serious stains may require a solvent to make removal easier. The best solvent to use depends on what caused the stain.
-Water-soluble stains: These include berries, cola, food dye, jelly, mud, washable ink, or wet paint. Mix a solution of 1/4-teaspoon nonbleach detergent (or white vinegar) with 32 ounces of water.
-Dark water-soluble stains: Chocolate, coffee, mustard, tea, wine, and bodily fluids often stain much more readily than other water-soluble materials and need a different solvent. Use 1 tablespoon of ammonia mixed in 1 cup of water first. If this doesn't work, try combining one part chlorine bleach with five parts water. These solvents may remove color from certain fabrics like wool, so check with the manufacturer for the best cleaning method.
-Oils and waxes: This would include glue, gum, nail polish, and cigarette residue. The best way to clean each of these varies - some may need to be simply scraped off or, if possible, frozen to make it brittle and then chipped away. Most glue can be dissolved and removed using a solvent like rubbing alcohol. Nail polish may also be dissolved using rubbing alcohol or with nail polish remover containing acetone.
Unfortunately, some stains may prove difficult to remove using household products. In any case, vacuuming and spot cleaning may not be enough to get your carpet or rug looking like new again. That's why many homeowners opt to hire a professional carpet cleaning service on a regular basis, around once every 12 to 18 months.
When it comes to heavy-duty carpet cleaning, you have many options to pick from. The two most common methods for cleaning carpets are steam cleaning and dry cleaning.
Steam cleaning is a common method for professional carpet cleaning, but the name is somewhat misleading. Steam-cleaning services use machines that utilize hot (but not boiling) water in combination with a vacuum. The water is heated inside the machine and sometimes mixed with detergent before being sprayed directly onto the carpet. At the same time, a vacuum sucks up the water almost immediately after hitting the fabric. The hot water extracts far more dirt and stains than would be possible by hand.
Cleaning machines using hot water extraction can be purchased or rented for home use, but they aren't always as powerful as what professional cleaning services use. Improperly drying the carpet may also cause bacteria or mold growth. Professional cleaners also employ a number of other methods to pre-treat the carpet and ensure adequate drying. For these reasons, professional carpet cleaning may be preferable to do-it-yourself methods.
Carpets or rugs can also be thoroughly cleaned using a dry-cleaning method. As the name suggests, there is much less water involved in dry cleaning, which means the carpet can be ready to use in less time. Using powerful solvents to break down dirt and stains, dry cleaning puts less physical stress on the carpet, and thus might be better in the long run. However, dry cleaning is usually more expensive than hot-water cleaning services. In addition, the chemicals used to dry clean carpets might irritate pets, people with sensitive skin, or anyone sensitive to strong odors.
Before choosing a professional carpet cleaning service, make sure you will be getting what you paid for by asking the right questions and doing your homework.
Again, there are pros and cons involved in using a hot-water-based cleaning service or dry cleaning. Take into consideration not only cost, but how long the process will take from start to finish, including drying time. Also take note of the material your carpet is made from, and consult the manufacturer if possible to learn about the best ways to clean it. If you or your family is sensitive to any chemicals, be sure to keep this in mind and ask about what chemicals are used.
You can find reviews of most professional carpet-cleaning services online, as well as information about a company's specific process, the chemicals used, and cost. It's also wise to ask friends and family members about services they've used in the past to get a recommendation. Don't always go with the service offering the lowest price, or hire a service who advertises door-to-door or over the phone, unless you have done thorough research on them.
Carpet cleaning services will be entering your home, potentially while you aren't there, so you want to feel comfortable with the business you trust with this responsibility. Ask if the company conducts background checks on employees, as well as if they are insured in your state. Without liability insurance, a mistake that results in damage to your home or furniture may be your responsibility to pay for.
If you've found a carpet-cleaning service you can trust, ask to get a quote. This may involve specifying exactly what services you would like performed, as well as the size of your home's carpeted area. Make sure you understand exactly what is included in a quoted price. Some businesses may charge extra to move furniture, clean stairs, or use special treatment methods. It's also common for businesses to sell customers on products and services they don't need. Don't hesitate to ask questions if any detail about the quote is unclear.
If you instead want to rent or buy a carpet-cleaning machine to use yourself, you have many options to pick from.
Since heavy-duty carpet cleaning isn't a frequent activity for most homeowners, many choose to simply rent one of these machines. Of course, renting is usually much cheaper than owning a machine or hiring a service, which is the biggest advantage in this situation. But not all rental units perform equally, and some might require extra drying time or the use of special solvents that will cost more. There's also the time and effort that goes into carpet cleaning - renting a unit means you must also move furniture yourself and pay close attention to ensure you're operating the unit correctly. Making a mistake could mean damaging your carpet or the unit itself. Also, improperly drying carpet could allow harmful bacteria and mold to grow. Before renting a carpet cleaner, make sure you're up for the task at hand.
Homeowners can purchase carpet cleaners ranging from compact units to full-size industrial-strength machines. Besides price, take note of the features of a unit and compare them to what you most need from a carpet cleaner. Some models specialize in removing allergens from pet hair, while others may work better on tough stains, for example. Another key consideration: Make sure you have room for it. Some carpet cleaners can be bulky and require ample storage space.
Other features you may want to look for in a cleaning unit include:
Make the right choice in carpet cleaners by considering all the options available to you and how they fit into your needs and budget.
