Applejack K9 Academy

Appjejack will forever hold a special place in my families heart. We went into the training program skeptical but also knowing it was Codys last chance to fit into our family. ( he had problems with food aggression, dog aggression and chasing cars. ) We loved him so much but we knew something had to change or we would have to give him up. We went through 2 other programs before we came to Applejack. I can see how they can work for other people but 3 $60 sessions using treats with a food aggressive dog got us no where fast sadly. The trainers were so helpful! SO calm and really opened our eyes to so many plain common sense thing that made a huge difference! Not only can we feed and give cody treats with out worrying but we can FINALLY have him around other dogs! ( pictured) and they tought us how to be responsible and accountable and to not put him in situations with other dogs you don't know if you can help it. Private lessons were a lifesaver and mostly for my husband and i to learn but group lessons were fun and we were challenged and had the opportunity to work with Cody in a safe controlled environment to prepare for those little league games and parks!

a few years ago my family got a dog from one of my fathers marines and he was a night mare, he chewed on everything, climbed ontop of cars peed and pooped all over the house, didnt come when called, i went off to trade school and when i came back he had only gotten worse. i knew ryan from laplata football so i took our dog to applejack and i couldnt believe it was the same dog. he is a much clamer dog now, he has never climbed on a car since, in the year and a half since i first took him there he has maybe peed in the house twice. he comes when ever i call him and unless it is food or a toy he doesnt chew on it. i have been throu basic obediance and am working now in advaced and will be trying to do drug detection and tracking. the faciltiy is a great facilty, it may not look like much but i have problem saying it is one of the nicest facilitys you will find, i work as a mechanic and my shop services vans and spriters from other kennels and after seeing them i will never take my dog anywhere else. the main kennal where there office and classroom is have large runs that lead to runs that are outside as well. the trainers there (kyle, ryan, and doug ramsey) really know there stuff. they taught me more while i was in trainer then i ever thought there was to know about dogs and that was just there basic stuff. since my training i have volinteered to help them a couple of times with small odd tasks. like putting away food (all iams which they order by the pallet load) or washing dogs. i have learned alot about there how they breed and i am hoping sometime in the near future to by a applejack german shepard. i have seen applejack dogs doing personal protection, obediance, durg detection and tracking. they are amzaing. i would reccomed this kennal to anyone who needs or wants a quality dog, top notic training or relialbe boarding.
