The worst experience I have ever had. I travel consistently, having stayed in hundreds of rentals, some of which were not ideal, but I have never been moved to write a bad review before now. I am an outdoorsy girl, not scared of bugs. But when I pay $95 a night, I do not expect the conditions that I found in these cabins. My horrible experience was only worsened by the owner's rude response when I politely addressed my concerns. Not only was the cabin infested with spiders and black beetles that were in the beds, pillows, dropping from the ceilings and walls all night long, but the whole place was dirty. The carpet was dirty. The bedding was clearly uncleaned with hair and dirt from the previous guests. A spider ran out of my pillow. As I tried to fall asleep spiders were dropping from the ceiling waking me up. The bathroom has no light or outlet in it, so I showered in complete darkness and it completely floods the bathroom- a dangerous situation. Needless to say, I got no sleep. My cabin backed up to a gas station parking lot. The 2nd evening, 2 men parked in the back of the gas station after it closed and watched me for over an hour through my window. When they got out of the car, leaned against it and continued to stare at me and whistle I gathered my things, and drove to a safe place. I decided I would find a safe, clean hotel for the night as the cabin doors and windows would have been easily broken into. I politely addressed the upsetting situation with the owner. He called me back angry and yelling. He victim blamed me for everything and told me I should have stayed in the unsafe cabin to wait for the cops to arrive. He shouted at me and would not let me fully explain the situation before he hung up on me. Horrible customer service! I was shaken and upset by his rude behavior.
