Stephanie’s practice combines representation of victims of personal injury matters, criminal defense and federal practice matters, employment claims, including defense of employers and representation of individuals wrongfully discharged, as well as the defense of health care clients in administrative and civil litigation forums. Stephanie has also served in various capacities as a Guardian ad litem, representing the interests of young people in state’s custody. Stephanie’s experience as Commissioner, and President, of the City of Charleston Police Civil Service Commission has informed her representation of both law enforcement officers and victims of excessive force in matters related to injuries sustained during police operations.

Mrs. Owen’s practice involves commercial financing, mergers and acquisitions, energy law, contract preparation and review, coordinating and conducting due diligence reviews, real estate, and general corporate law. Her practice includes business clients of varying sizes from large, complex business organizations to sole proprietorships. She also handles estate planning and probate matters.

Mr. Owen’s practice focuses on civil litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. Shanna is originally from Fairbanks, Alaska and also lived in Hilo, Hawaii. Shanna joined Goodwin & Goodwin, LLP in 2014 after clerking for the Honorable Joseph R. Goodwin. Shanna enjoys karaoke, hiking, and snowboarding.

Tom earned his undergraduate degree from WVU, in 1966, graduating magna cum laude and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In 1969, he graduated from the WVU College of law, where he was Editor in Chief of the West Virginia Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. He obtained an L.L.M. in tax law from Harvard University in 1970.
