This is my first review on any hotel I have stayed at and hopefully will be my last. My goal is 100% to discredit the two employees (Paul and Katrina) who have not only failed to hold a professional manner but also lied to loyal customers in order to save themselves. THIS PLACE IS BEYOND TERRIBLE.We had a situation occur where a employee was trying to BREAK into our room at 8:30am on a Sunday. Apparently they didn’t get the correct debit card information and they were worried about paying for our stay themselves. Opposed to calling our room and knocking we were woken up to them disassembling the door knob. When confronted about the incident, their response? “I don’t have $200 to be paying for your room”... excuse me what ? As you can imagine we were livid to find out this is how they handle something like this. When talking to the front desk lady we were told we would be refunded a night for the trouble and it would show up in 3-7 business days. 2 weeks go by and NO refund was in my account. After calling multiple times and being told “to wait for more information” I was finally able to reach Paul, the General Manager. He had no recollection of the incident and we were told he would call us back. After a few days went by with no call back (shocker) he said no refund will be given back for a night. His response to me writing a review about my experience? “I’ll make sure to respond” So Paul, if you’re reading this please explain why you think you’re in the right for 1. Allowing employees to break into rooms 3 hours prior to checkout 2. Going against your word on a refund for a night 3. Not ONCE apologizing for what happened.

ROOM CLEAN,BATHROOM CLEAN,BED CLEAN,AND GOT IT ALL FOR A GOOD PRICE....AND IT ONLY TOOK 10 MINUTES FOR ME TO CHECK IT.....I JUST FOUND MY NEW HOTEL WHEN I COME TO CHARLESTON....

Hi, we were looking for the cheapest yet decent place to stay near the beach. The room was OK, the bed was comfy. Worth it to save the money, IMO
The hotel was clean, service and staff were very helpful and nice, breakfast provided was good and what I like (cold cereal,hot cereal,waffles,fruit,yogurt,bagles,muffins,toast,juice & coffee,tea,hot chocolate. The bed was comfortable although the bed sheet did not quite fit the mattress so it would slide off the corners during the night. You had to travel a little way to the historic district, but we had a car so I didn't find it a problem. I would go back if I ever vacationed in Savannah again. It is a interesting and fun city, and I enjoyed myself.

Drug smell at night in our unit coming from other units. Nothing was done about it. I ended up having to go to the doctor because of it. corporate has not responded after several attempts.
I've been a regular at this hotel since 2007 and will continue to stay at this location whenever I visit Charleston, SC. The staff is pleasant, knows me & greets me by name and is very accommodating to my needs. If I request a particular room, they will have that room for me or if I need to check in before 3:00 p.m., they will bend over backwards to have the room ready for me. I've had one or two issues but they were resolved to my satisfaction and in a timely manner.
We selected this hotel because they were close to the airport, and the rate was the lowest we could find online. We were not disappointed. This is an older hotel, but the beds are comfortable and with the Wi-Fi and free breakfast we thought it was a good deal.
