THIS MAN IS A CHEAT! I bought a Jeep that had the Service Engine Soon light pop on the instant I got the vehicle up to speed on I-26. As I had purchased the extended warranty through my bank, I followed their instructions to have the repair completed. The warranty company ended up not covering the intake manifold replacement, even though the documents I had clearly stated that this was covered, so I cancelled the extended warranty. 3 months later, serious issues arose with the Jeep, where it would only function properly when it was in 4WD, which it would automatically shift into after driving for a few seconds. Loud pops and cracks were heard until that shift happened. I knew things were bad, so I contacted the dealer, leaving voicemails that were never returned. I saved up the cash (single mom, working two jobs) to get it to the mechanic, knowing that the repair was not going to be cheap. My mechanic was blown away that I could even get it to function...the frame had been cracked for some time, according to him, resulting in the rear differential hanging on by a thread, a transmission that was destroyed, and more. $10,000 repair, only to THEN have 14 more computer codes to clear. My mechanic managed to get the dealer on the phone, who told me to come by and he would see what he could do. I drove over, showed him the documents, and told him all about the problems I've been having. He tells me that a "cheap repair can be to disconnect the 4WD assembly..it will run just fine then." Umm, right now it ONLY runs in 4WD, and he would just not hear that this was the case. I tried to discuss any recourse with him, but was told that I was being "ridiculous." I've created this account solely to write this review, to try to help others avoid the same expensive heartache I've endured at their hands.
The best car experience you can ask for! Andy is honest and will help you buy a great car. My next car will be bought from Andy at carcoast. Thanks Tim Abel!!!!!!
Bought an 04 Dodge Ram. Salesman didn't want me to take it on the highway. He said traffic was bad. Was promised a 90 Day powertrain warranty. Four days later I took it to a mechanic because of an awful noise at highway speeds. It needed a complete rear differential rebuild. Mechanic told me that the dealer obviously tried to hide it. There was fresh sealant on the cover and brand new fluid inside. Talking to the manager was like talking to a wall. He kept insisting over and over that he said and did things he NEVER did. Swore that the salesman would NEVER promise a warranty. In the end he pretty much called me a liar and wouldn't discuss anything. Customer service was great until they get your money. Then you aren't worth their time anymore. I didn't even want him to pay for repairs. I just wanted to see if they would help with anything at all. DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF BY THEM!
Just bought a 2004 Porsche Cayenne Turbo from Ricky at Car Coast. I've been on his lot before and he always has an excellent selection of late model sport luxury vehicles. If you are looking to have the image of driving a premium vehicle, but don't want to pay the new prices for them, you have to check out what Ricky has on his lot. The people at Car Coast are up front and honest about the condition of the vehicles they are selling. The Porsche I bought needed some work, but I knew about it before buying the car. Ricky was more than willing to allow me to take the car to have my mechanic perform an inspection if I wanted. People just have to realize that even though they may be buying a car cheaply from him, parts and maintenance are still the same price as any other BMW, Mercedes, Audi, or Range Rover sold elsewhere. Having said that, if you talk to him, he can usually get you a good deal on parts or services if the car you buy needs any more work. You can't expect cars with 100k plus miles to be in perfect condition, however he does a great job at getting them in the best condition possible while keeping the price reasonable.
