Please take the time to read my experience before hiring King Construction.Originally was supposed to start the job on 1/6/14, which got moved to 1/8 then rescheduled for 1/9 around noon. I had no problem with this as I understand that things come up in this business and things get delayed. They showed up on 1/9 after 4pm, with no call/text/email letting me know that they were going to be that late. I wasn't home because I informed him that I had to take my wife to the airport at 3:30pm. His guys worked for 2 hours and left. They came back the following day on 1/10 only about an hour later than estimated and finished the work needed to prepare for electrical work and granite installation (completed by Eugene's Granite, highly recommended). Check of $1450 was given to Trey. Trey texted me the night of 1/9 and said, "Electrician will be there around noon. I'll touch base tomorrow when I have a more accurate time." The next day came around and I had not heard a word from Trey. The electrician shows up at 3pm with no heads up. Luckily I was home. What was expected to be a 30 minute job took 4 hours. It was done right so I was happy with the service, but NOT THE COMMUNICATION. Granite is installed on 21st and I contact Trey to have the drywall guy come out on the 22nd. The drywall guy shows up only 25 minutes late this time (I'm fine with 25 minutes late, not 3-4 hours). The drywall guy comes in and looks at the job and goes to Lowe's (5 minutes away) to get supplies (1 sheet of drywall, mud, and corner bead. He is gone for 2 hours. I call Trey and he says "Yea, he called me a while ago and said something came up and he will be back tomorrow." I told him politely "don't bother, I will find someone else to do the job." He says "No problem" and immediately hangs up on me. Very professional Trey. The best part is the next day his drywall guy shows up to "finish the job." Trey's communication is so bad that he didn't even let the guy know not to come back. Trey I don't know how you stay in business. You need to work on you communication skills. Maybe you can use all that money I gave you to take a class on bussiness/communication skills.

Good, honest and professional. I highly recommend!
Outstanding workmanship and attention to detail no matter what the project. Trey King had such wonderful ideas that I had no thought of after planning for several years. My condo is a showcase now and I recommend him to everyone! the results were wonderful for a fair price
My wife and I bought a house in Charleston and well, a lot of renovation work was needed. I came to Trey King's renovation service as he was local and available at the time. Many remodeling ideas were presented and we chose the most satisfying one, and the best option financially. He helped us with the licenses, zoning permits, contracts and just the planning in general to guide us to where we wanted to go with the whole project. Very satisfied and if we get another project going we know we are going to Mr. King for his services. thumbs up!
