This bank has the absolute worst rates, business practices and customer service. The bank manager, Stephan Hollis, is incompetent, has no people skills whatsoever and is primarily responsible for a mass exodus of customers from the Daniel Island branch. I looked at getting a mortgage at NBSC and the rate I received was .75% higher than any other competitor! I had an account at this bank (thankfully now CLOSED!) and was nickel and dimed with several junk fees every month. NBSC may have thrived in the 70's and 80's when there were less sophisticated customers that it could exploit, but, thankfully, times have changed. I'm really not sure how it stays in business.
Strong armed into opening an account that were drawn from this bank. The teller were rude and condescending. I will NEVER do my real banking transaction with this bank. STAY AWAY
This bank is wonderful! I've been banking with them since I was in elementary school, or rather in the Squirrel's club. They are friendly and care about their customers. Now my daughter is a Squirrel's club member. Denise K is wonderful, I would recommend talking to her for any advice because she is the best of the best!
