        Piedmont Health Services is a private nonprofit organization serving the health care needs of the citizens of central North Carolina since 1970. The health services provider was organized and incorporated in 1970 as Orange-Chatham Comprehensive Health Services. It was intended to provide comprehensive health care services and education to all segments of the community, with special emphasis directed to that segment of the population receiving inadequate health care and or whose access to services had been restricted. PHS operates six community health centers, Carrboro Community Health Center Carrboro, NC, Charles Drew Community Health Center Burlington, NC, Moncure Community Health Center Moncure, NC, Prospect Hill Community Health Center Prospect Hill, NC, Siler City Community Health Center Siler City, NC and Scott Clinic Burlington, NC.
