I love this gym! When you go to a business and especially being committed for the time you are you always want a memorable experience! I've worked in hospitality for a very long time and have a pretty good standard of how I expect customer service to be! Brody and Desean both delivered this experience and are wonderful employees. They remember you and always greet you as soon as you walk in and most importantly make you feel like your at home and comfortable. Great job guys! You both rock!
This is horrible business. I sign a two year contract and when the time was up for cancelation or renewal I called to cancel because the gym smells bad and I barely use it. The person that I spoke in the phone with told me that I had to send a letter by mail 30 days prior to the due date and I did. I ask him if I could do it online and he said it will take about 3 weeks for me to get the link to cancel online so I decided to send the letter the next day to hurry the process. I try to send certified mail but I couldn't because there is a PO Box address. Three months after they are still charging my account and when I called to find out why they said they never relieved my letter. However I spoke with another friend whom told me they did the same to him and he had to close his bank account. Today doing my research I found this out. http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/national-fitness-layton-and-sandy/-internet-84040/national-fitness-layton-and-sandy-crossroads-fitness-sand-national-fitness-swindles-its-1021599
DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM!!! You'll regret if ANYTHING happens which causes you to be unable to go. I previously worked in Chapel Hill so it was a convenient location. When I signed up, I specifically asked if I would be able to cancel my membership if I changed jobs. I was told that there would be no problem. Well, last month, I got a job 100 miles away from Chapel Hill and despite the fact that my home is over 30 miles away, I was unable to cancel my membership through their parent company, National Fitness. I called multiple times, thinking OF COURSE they'd understand why I could no longer work out at the gym. I was told that I had to live 30 miles away from the gym to get out of my contract. I do. I was told, no I'd have to MOVE 30 miles away from the gym and prove it via utility statements. There was nothing they could do without a letter from a manager at the gym.Well, I got in touch with a manager who told me I should have no problem getting out of my contract, since I had a letter from my new job. National Fitness said the letter was invalid and the manager I spoke to said she didn't have the authority to contact them in regards to my membership. I asked to speak to someone who DID have the authority. I was told that I would get a call from someone higher up. That was over 2 weeks ago and I haven't gotten a call from anyone. This is the worst customer service I've ever received and now I'm stuck paying a monthly fee for the next 6 months, despite the fact that I will never be able to use their crappy gym. They are so desperate for clients that they will not let you out of your contract. There are other, nicer gyms in Chapel Hill who do not require yearly contracts and have much nicer facilities. Think twice about joining Kinetix.
