Chandler Mini Mix

I used this company many times in the past when they were Chandler Mini Mix. The worst I dealt with was drivers not knowing where they were going and being late. Now that it is under new ownership and going as Arizona Concrete, it has gotten much worse. I've used them twice since changing ownership and I can honestly say, I will never use them again. Yes they are a bit cheaper than Cemex but for the time and hassles I've had to deal with, it costs me so much more. The first time we had not only issues with the driver being over an hour late but they fought with the foreman on site. The second time, I made sure to contact the company way in advance-6 days, to place my order. I spoke to the owner several times during the week leading up to the actual delivery date. I kept trying to get him to take my payment in advance and he would keep telling me, when the truck was there, they would call me for payment. I made sure to tell him all the information, job address, yardage, type etc. In fact I had to tell him 4 times on several different calls, including sending a text. The morning of my scheduled delivery, I had my group of concrete guys at the job site since 4:30am. No concrete arrived at 5:00am as ordered. I checked my phone at 4:45am and noticed that I had received 6 calls between 4-4:30am from the the owner of AZ. Concrete. He left messages asking me if I still wanted it to be delivered. We've been in the business since 1989 and I've never once had to deal with a company calling me repeatedly the day of the scheduled delivery asking if I still wanted it, unless it looked like a rain day. I had been on the phone with this guy numerous times over the past 6 days to make sure we were on his schedule, I called him after my foreman on the site was growing very upset. He released his driver after 5:30am....30 minutes after our scheduled time. He also refused to take my payment at that time and said once the driver got there, he would call and get payment. In the meantime, the crew is sitting there waiting with nothing to do. Then 6:30 comes around. the driver is finally there. Now he is fighting with the foreman. No payment, no concrete. I get a call. So I call the owner AGAIN and now he is arguing with me claiming that the reason why my concrete is so late is because I never answered my phone at 4am to confirm delivery. I told him that I never had to do this before with any other concrete company. He proceeded to tell me that he had a customer before who ordered 6.5 yards and then once the driver got there, he refused it because of the wind blowing. He basically caused my crew to stand around for 90 mins waiting on the concrete because of something someone else did to him. Not very professional or business like. I offered to pay for this load way in advance, several times and was refused each time. I'm all for small business owners because I am one myself but this is it. I've given this company two chances and now I am done. I don't need angry employees. Cemex will now have my business, even if it costs a few bucks more. I guess the saying is true....you get what you pay for.

Horrific Service…called and set up service. Caller seemed surprised that I wanted a price before delivery. Told me they would call back. Never did and didn’t show up at the scheduled 5am time. I had a group of guys out and waiting with no work. Doesn’t matter how many times they change their name. It’s still the same terrible service. Price isn’t everything.

Driver was 1.5 hrs late! Then watered down the mix with out asking making the mix to watered down & causing a lot more work for us & increasing the chance of CRACKING! Talked to supervisor he said they would refund some of the money then mysteriously the call dropped & they wouldn't answer any of their phn #s went down & talked to owner & was told that it was after the fact & the driver had left my house there was nothing that could be done!! So here I am recommending that no one uses this shady company or you will get taken advantage of TOO!!!
