Shocked, really. We were regulars at Tao Garden until it received a health violation. Believing things had been corrected, we returned after a few months. Food was wonderful, as always, and we felt like all was well. However, we soon felt threatened by one employee (told he works in the kitchen) who yelled the "F" word and "B" word at my cousin and me. When this man kept interrupting us with comments that had nothing to do with the food or place, my cousin nicely said, "Excuse me, we'd like to talk privately." He screamed obscenities at us and then threatened to turn down the a.c. "so we would freeze." We do have some pity for him, as he clearly doesn't seem mentally well, but we felt unsafe. He kept swearing about us as he returned to a table near the counter. We told him and his staff that we'll never return. We won't.
Worst customer service, my wife asked for some crispy fried noodles when she got her soup and the server walked away giving a blank stare (no response to the request). The tables were NASTY, a film of dried grease on the glass table top. Food "looked good" but the sweet and sour pork consisted of mostly fried dough with the occasional pork bit. Kung Pao was way to salty and to top it off they literally put the tab in your face and have the audacity to say "are you ready to pay?" .. throughout this awful experience me and my wife remained calm and tight lipped. They have manners and customer service in China right? Well it wasn't seen here. The only authentic thing there was the bad attitude wait staff had. The food and service at Mekong plaza restaurants is MUCH! BETTER
We got raw scallops in our pad thai. They did not offer to discount the pad thai dish to compensate for this. They offered to give us coconut ice cream but that definitely does not make up for this issue. We did not accept the ice cream. To top it all off, they took away the spice tray from our table without asking if we were done with it. I was still personally using the spice tray. So rude. Will definitely be coming back...
This place is awesome. Great selection of weight watcher items!
The food is pretty good but the servers are there to just run in and out like cattle. The place is run down and in need of an over haul.Won't go back as there are to many other places who work for your business.
I have ordered Red Dragon in the passed. One time they refused delivery. Then another time I got sick. Both issues were because of something else. Well I tried calling today and they have are refusing to serve me period. Don't eat here. The food is ok and the service is just terrible. The workers are always rude and interrupting me when I try and order.
We stopped by for lunch after hearing a ton of radio press on 97.9. The food was decent, but it took 45 minutes from the time we ordered to receive our meals (our table consisted of two adults and one child~ we ordered two lunches.) The restaurant was busy, but still, 45 minutes is ridiculous.
Placed an order on line. 45 minutes later I called to see if my food was even on its way. The girl that answered the phone told me that it was not even made yet. Then she proceeds to tell me that it will take a long time to get there since we live so far away (Riggs and Gilbert Rd) and that it is Saturday and rush hour so it would take even longer. I asked her why 45 minutes had gone by and they had not even started on my order. She said, "oh, your order is done." So my order was done? After she told me that it wasn't. She then asked me, "Well do you want it or want to cancel? The driver is standing there waiting to know if you want it or not." I said well send it then if it is done. After waiting another 30 minutes, I called back. The asian man on the phone asked who I was and then started screaming at me, "Well cancel the order. Well cancel the order" after I asked where my food was at. No apologies or anything. Customer service is horrible. Management is horrible. If they can't handle a delivery radius that far, then they need to be BETTER managers and learn how to manage their restaurant by shortening it. I would never recommend this place after how they treated me. Plus, the place looks like a roach infested dump! Time to clean and update it!
first time to chen's chinese bistro in chandler on Mcqueen and Riggs rd, i love the food, fresh, tasty; and i like the waitress, she was very nice to my family. we will be back!
Excellent food, generous portions, Great Staff. Can't wait to go back and try more menu options.
