I picked a Doctor to go to and by random selection it was a Doctor at Carle clinic. He was in network, so I thought great. After seeing him twice and getting a bill it seemed like the bill was pretty high (much more than the $20 office visit copay) I checked into it. First I called BCBS assuming it was their error first. No I found they paid what they paid because of how Carle had coded the location of the services for an OFFICE visit. It was coded as OUT PATIENT services because the hospital owned the building. As a result I am left paying $255 and $350 for the two visits I had rather then the $20 copay. SO BE AWARE OF HOW CARLE IS BILLING YOUR INSURANCE AND HOW YOUR INSURANCE IS PAYING BASED ON HOW CARLE IS BILLING. YOU COULD BE PAYING HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS MORE THAN YOU SHOULD BE. This appears to be a particular problem with BCBS. As for me.... I am going to Christie Clinic, Carle is not the only ball game in town for in network providers.

He sounds like a great chiropractor to me. Ken Nieman is a Fitness Director, was captain of an intercollegiate Lacrosse team. worked for nearly 10 years as a biochemist at places such as UCLA and Amgen, has an M.A. in Bioethics, and I think has obtained a Masters in Public Health degree through the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is certified by The National Academy of Sports Medicine and the American College of Sports Medicine as a Health and Fitness Specialist. Ken also was a Medical Assistant and adjunct professor of Health and Wellness at Woodbury University. With fantastic qualifications like this you can't go wrong by seeing Dr. Nieman!
