Hungry to try another city's Thai, my friends and I set out for lunch. Walking into the restaurant, we immediately noticed the rather vast emptiness of the lobby. (Come to find out, 3:00 is after the lunch buffet, hence the lack of patrons.) The few people that were eating in the restaurant were Thai themselves, which (to me) indicated the authenticity of the establishment's cuisine. Our group was seated immediately. We decided to order off the amply loaded regular menu, the entrees of which came family style. The food was delicious. The Crab Fried Noodles by far took the cake, with the Pad Thai in a close second. For dessert, the deep fried bananas with home made coconut ice cream were absolutely the best way to end the delicious meal. Despite the fantastic food, we couldn't help but feel somewhat ignored by the single server on staff. I understand being allowed to enjoy one's food and a desire to not place any pressure on patrons to "sit-eat-pay-get out", and we had arrived after lunch, which is usally a period of time that the wait staff use to tidy up. Whenever the server was at our table, they were very courteous and catered to us; however, our late lunch ended up being an early dinner, as we did not get out of the restauraunt until nearly 5:00. To sum up- excellent selection, delicious food, polite wait staff, interminable waiting. I will be eating here again.
Dude I remember having a craving in LA and decided to drive back home to San Jose just for the Pad Thai. plain and Simple its just that good. Some Duck Curry dosent hurt either. They have 2 locations about a mile apart. If you ar going on a date and want to impress a lady then go to the new Krung Thai behind Valley Fair mall other wise to avoid the crowds like me and goto the old Krung Thai whi is about 4 or 5 light south on Winchester ave either way check out thier Pad Thai Peace and enjoy the eats..... The food here is AMAZING! the dishes served here are authentic and taste great. this restaurant is very busy and lunchtime is a crowd but well worth the wait. the table service isn't exceptional, and i think that's because their food is far superior to most thai restaurants. all is great...pad thai, thom kha, green curry, larb salad, som tom....too many to list. HIGHLY recommended.
Five stars for the food, but they lose one for the cramped and uncomfortable seating. If they were closer to where we live, I would get takeout from them all the time. One warning - the medium yellow curry is quite, quite spicy.
I always do the dine out option - it has become a weekly habit for me. Food is always fresh, tasty, and just the right level of spiciness. One of the best thai restaurants in this area.
love this place.. food is awesome but the service is amazing.! Lee the owner and Leo the manager are some of the kindest and coolest people ever. must go and try displace out.
This is a great option if you are looking for fast tasty Thai food at a reasonable cost. Their Pad Thai and Spicy Basil Chicken are our favorites.
chicken basil fried rice very tasty if u want to try spice food.. I would recommend medium spice is good..
This was my first time there and I'm coming back. The food is an e-ticket ride worth any wait.
Good food, nice location, reasonable price. I will come back later to enjoy the drink.
