About Search Results

YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

Uno Chicago Grill

Good deep dish

People seem to either hate Pizzeria Uno, or love it, depending on their love of pizza and their background. This review is geared toward tourists, as downtown locals more than likely have been here already and have formed their opinons. Things tourists might dislike: The wait times can be pretty long (45 mins to over an hour when it's busy) and the place is small and cramped. Noise levels can also get pretty loud. Things tourists might like: Even though the wait times can be long, you can at least place your order when you put your name down so at least you may not have to wait much longer after you sit down for your deep dish pizza (which traditionally takes longer to make than a regular or thin crust). Things tourists might like or dislike: The deep dish pizza itself! I've had friends from the west coast come out and absolutely love the pie-like crust and how the toppings are placed under the cheese. At the same time, I've heard complaints about the tomato chunks in the sauce. Friends from the east coast have just plainly said that nothing is better than New York pizza. I have not had the chance to judge, though I hope to do so this summer. So there it is. I hope this helps people that have never been to Pizzeria Uno. If you're from out of town and are in downtown, I recommend a go at this place.

Fantastic Service

Every time I have dined at Sapori I have enjoyed it. The last time I was there I had a reservation for 8:30 and it was completly full and they realized they weren't going to be able to seat us right on time so they took my entire party to the bar and gave us a round on the house. I love that their menu changes and that the owner/chef will come out to see how you are enjoying your food. I gave honest feedback that the meal was not as I expected and had a more hearty flavor than I was looking for and he replaced my entire meal with something else that he thought I would love in under 10min. That's what I call service! I've had everything from the calamari to the lasagna and I really enjoy the rustic flavors that are brought to the entree's. The atmosphere is quaint and conservative, it's a great place for a first date or a casual dinner amongst friends. I really enjoy the sharp crowd and the great people watching. I think they also have seatting in the back of the house for larger parties.

This place was amazing from the word go. Not being from the city the prices seemed to be high until you get the food to have the best waitress, drink guys, and chef possible.1. My grandmother inlaw has a garlic allergy and she is italian which is a bad mix. The chef came to her and said he would make a special from scratch dinner of her choice! she enjoyed every second of her meal! 2. we had 2 small year and half old children that were not wanting to sit still all the time. the waitress had to stop them from running out of our side room more than once and did it with a smile and did not complain once! My daughter and wife are kinda picky eaters and they allowed them to pick alacarte pasta alfredo with chicken. All in all a fabulous dinner and with everything that went with the dinner the prices were actually just fine with me!!

Vivere

Outstanding Wine list and food!!!

Ive been to Italian Village several times, but not to Vivere, so I was very impressed upon walking into Vivere and seeing there expansive wine selection. The service was prompt and the wine sommelier suggested a fantastic pairing for the mushroom risotto. This was definitely a different atmosphere than Italian Village, smaller and more romantic, but the service was impeccable, prompt and reminiscent of the excellent service I've had at the Village. I would definitely go here before a show and would recommend making reservations, as this restaurant is always busy. The knowledge that the sommelier had really blew my mind. I would also recommend the gnocci and the cream sauce....too die for!!!

Cloud Nine Gnocci and Heavenly Porcini Mushroom Wine Sauce...

Another BYOB Chicago Gem -- grab your favorite yummy reds and head for Pilsen without delay. Ciao Amore has a deceptively tiny store front entrance that opens on a bright, eclectically appointed double dining room running the length of the building. We found C.A. trolling MetroMix for somewhere new to celebrate my husband's birthday after a chorale concert at the Benedictine Monastery a couple miles south. Three hours and three hundred dollars later [including tip] SEVEN of us had licked our plates and bowls after appetizers, salad, entrees, dessert, and coffee. The service was perfect, the sauces were delectable and distinct, the gnocci to die for and the experience delightful. We'll be back.

Simple Yet Elegant

I was recommended this restaurant by a good friend. He stated if you want to go somewhere intimate, fresh, tastful, and a different experience, Terragusto is the place to try. I took my husband for an afternoon out, The location blends with the neighborhood, the menu selection is unique on a daily bases, and I like the fact that you can bring your own choice of beverage (wine is an excellent choice - they supply the glasses) and I was impressed at the fact that some of the ingrediants are purchased from the local farmers. The service was excellent from start to finish. The flavor of the food excited my taste buds. A definite keeper in the listing of top restaurants to revisit.

Amazing Taste and Far Better Than What I Had in Rome

Amazing old world crust reciepe with four cheeses is what I typically order however there are plenty of combinations to try or create. Goat, Cow, Buffalo cheeses, some old world, and all with great flavor. This rivals some of the best Chicago style pizza's. All personal sized pizzas are huge. Two could share if you're eating for your waist-line. The owner; he's really nice and wants you to try new things, some on the house sometimes. Coffee and liquor bar's. They have a dessert that has a hazelnut creme center with this chocolate ice creme / gelato surround, dusted in cocoa and to die for. It's a fun place. thank you MJ

look out!!!

A friend recommended CAFE BIONDA and raved about his food and experience. he compared it to the other fine Italian restaurants in the Chicago area. after having some appetizers and our main course, I say"LOOK OUT"!! Bionda has a nice atmosphere and is oddly shaped with a front and rear entrance. the rear area was a little drafty and the help and host seemed annoyed that we asked to be moved. definitely customer service needs improvement. I decided to not bother. great food. I will visit again. although business seems good, it seems like it needs a better layout. clean and nicely decorated. good luck Bionda.

Excellent Pizza as seen on TV

My wife and I decided to give it try after seeing the place on Dinners & Dinners On the Food Channel. We drove down from Milwaukee. I'm originally from N.Y. so I know my Pizza. This place definitely lives up to the hype. We got there on a Friday afternoon 2:00 pm the place wasn't crowded and the warm, courteous waitress made the experience so worth it. She came by to make sure we were happy many times. The pizza crust was crispy and delicious. The sauce not to sweet and the meats tasted fresh and also delicious. I'm a customer for life and highly recommend it. It's a must eat people.

Uno Chicago Grill

The Best in the U.S.

I love pizza, and especially deep dish. Uno's is the absolute best deep-dish pizza... ever... anywhere! Very few people know that the recipe is specific to this original Pizzeria Uno location, or that deep-dish pizza started here: thick crust, then cheese, then toppings, then tomatos and sauce on top. Any nay-sayers who complain about waiting an hour to get the delightful dish ought to know... Hello! ... That's how long you have to wait for your pizza to cook. Head to Ohio and Wabash early to beat the lunch or dinner rushes. If you must, head over to Pizzeria Due, a short walk away.
