DON'T use Square One's On-Line Booking Service. You are required to pre-pay and then if you cancel, they will not refund your money - even if you cancel following the parameters outlined. They basically STOLE $75 from me, and the only way I can get it back from them is to come in and use their services. Like I want to give business to a place that has already ripped me off...
I went to Square One for a pedicure. Gal was horrible. Kept talking to the guy next to her working. Didn't massage my feet at all, called manager, he called a guy who owned salon. Owner called me back, refused to listen to me, told me to never ever come back to the salon. Kicked me out after going there for 8 years or more. I cried, begged, but he refused to listen to me. Awful for customer!!
I wanted to provide insight into the Aveda Salon in Centerville, Ohio (Square One). I arrived to the location 15 minutes early (2:45pm) on 9/27/2012 for my appointment with Gena. I checked in with the reception desk. I was shown the waiting area and was told that she would be with me shortly. I waited ONE HOUR and decided to let the receptionist that I would be leaving as I was tired of waiting. I walked up to the desk. The girl said hello and asked my name. I told her and said I was leaving because I was tired of waiting. She looked in the computer and said I had been checked in, but Gena was not going to be in and did I want to reschedule? Seriously??????? I was shocked and said no. She said they tried to call me earlier, but did not leave a message (again..seriously..no message?) I can not pick up at work, so a message would have been the appropriate measure. I thought this would be a high end salon and would be treated well. VERY EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I had made the appointment on Monday for a Thursday. They had left a message on Tuesday verifying the appointment. Why not leave a message to let me know that Gena decided not to go to work...why check me in and make me wait an hour (longer if I had not gone down to the desk I would imagine. Again....disappointment does not even cover the experience I had. To bad..you missed out on what could have been a long term customer not to mention the potential customers that I will share this experience with.
