DO NOT TRUST Thatcher RV Sales. Bottom line. I recently purchased a used RV as my first. I recognize my errors in learning the hard way, but ironically the aspects of the vehicle that they raved about are the very components that have fallen apart. "Great rubber" they said. I didn't think so after a tire blew out a week later and I learned about DOT number identification- the inside tires even pre-dated this system from 2000. "Structurally sound. I'd take it to Florida tomorrow" they said. Later I learned about delamination and dry rot. The grey water tank actually fell off of the vehicle- it was supported by rotted wood. "The engine was very well-maintained". I've already been stranded once from the dead alternator and had to replace all fluids and belts. I have learned a great deal about how to really purchase an RV at this point. Bottom line is they will say whatever they can to get you into a vehicle, offer no warranty, explaining that as an industry standard. Beware!
