Washington High School, located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is a college preparatory school offering classes from grades nine through 12, and enrolls more than 1,500 students. The school provides a strong academic program, including advanced placement and honors courses, and provides a comprehensive educational program, including core subjects, such as mathematics, language arts, computer science, social studies and science. Its facilities include a fully automated library with more than 15 workstations, gymnasiums, music room, science and computer labs, fully automated library and athletic fields. It encourages all students to participate in extracurricular activities, such as its various clubs, performing arts and a variety of sports, which includes basketball, volleyball, cheerleading and football. Washington High School is a part of the Cedar Rapids Community School District.
