Not sure if this is the location near 1431 and Parmer. Here's what happened to me.

Made a tire purchase, and the deal included a free oil change. I have a hybrid, and the recommended oil is a synthetic 0W-20. So I asked if they had any in stock, and they said "yes". Then I asked to see the bottles, and lo and behold, they didn't have any. If I had not asked to see the bottles, they would have put a non-recommended oil in my vehicle!

So, I asked if they would be ordering some - said I would return for my free oil change. They agreed. I phoned several times in the coming weeks, and the oil had not arrived. Then I was told that my free oil change would cost me $92! Now, I know that the 0W-20 costs more, as in about $2 or $3 more per bottle, but why the quote of $92?

Lamb's Tire and Automotive are scam artists, and are to be avoided. They are, as I read in another review here, liars. There's just no getting around it. All the lipstick in the world wouldn't turn this pig into a beauty!

Overall

Do not trust these people!! We had our car towed to Lamb's (on the recommendation of the tow truck operator) which I regret. I dealt mostly with Brandt but also the Manager Ken and I have come to trust them about as far as I could throw them. When researching the issue they found the fuel pump needed replacing. Separately I got a quote for the pump, it was $200 for after-market or $400 for the OEM part. Brandt assured me that they would put in the OEM part that we were quoted for. The part failed within 30 minutes. When we arranged for them to replace the part it was evident that an after market part was used and not the OEM part. Even after being asked in plain language, Brandt lied to us about the part which was to be installed. In the end I thought that we got what we paid for, but mysteriously the engine failed within a month with similar symptoms. We took it back, but surprisingly it was not the fuel pump that had failed but an engine relay. Now, I have no proof of this, but I suspect that the demise of the relay was at their hands, since there was a hole on the case of the relay - relays just don't fail that way - it looked as though a hole had been poked in the side, from the outside in (if it were to "blow" it would be from the inside out). So that cost an additional $300.

So in summary, DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE, DON'T TRUST THEM!!
