Village Apartments

I called and asked about these apartments and the lady who answered was extremely rude to me. I would never live here just by the way I was treated.

My husband and I moved into these apartments five days ago. FIVE DAYS! We thought they were nice and the area was quiet(for the most part) BUT I guess we thought wrong. It was really late at night and my husband and I were watching TV and I saw something crawling on the arm chair of the couch (the apartment came furnished and everyhting feels gross and not cleaned properly) and my natural reaction was to start screaming because I thought it was a spider. He grabbed his flashlight and squished it. Before he squished it we both caught a glimpse of what it looked like. We thought it was a TICK. We looked up on our laptop what ticks look like. GREAT NEWS! It wasn't a tick. IT WAS A BED BUG!!!!!! BED BUG. Do you know how HARD those are to get rid of?!! We then found another one on a mattress in the guest bedroom and a "skeleton" of another and a huge section with larvae. We looked on the couches again and found larvae as well. SO UPSETTING! We slept on our kitchen floor because we didn't want bed bug bites.



We talked with the manager and owner of the apartments the next day and they were not willing to give us our full refund after only being in there for FIVE days. The owner was very rude and started calling my husband crazy and started accusing us of playing the system and "planting the bed bugs" in our own apartment. It took about one hour and a half and we FINALLY got our money back. They mentioned that the pest control place would come on Monday and we would be able to get our belongings out of our apartment a few days after that.



I have recently asked both onsite managers the name of the pest control place that is going to be dealing with the bed bugs and for some reason they can't think of the name. (Even off the top of their head) It doesn't really make sense.

I called the manager this evening and asked him if he had found out the name yet and he said, "NO! Are you worried about your stuff now?!" I was shocked. I just told him I wanted to call them to ask them what their procedure is and how they take care of bed bugs. He replied, "Well you can just call any pest control company and they can tell you." I told him to call me back as soon as he finds out the name.



I have not received a call back and it has been almost two days. They have treated me and my husband both very rudely and are not handling the situation with understanding and willingness to deal with this as they should.



My husband and I now have to get rid of almost half of our belongings and potentially our BRAND NEW $2,000 mattress. I am appalled and WILL NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE.



I feel bad for the residing tenants... they don't even know about the situation or that bed bugs are a threat to all of them right now.
