Enterprise Rent-A-Car

I normally love Enterprise and got the normal great service from a very nice neighborhood location. But when I went to decline the insurance as I always do (since I'm already covered both by my own car insurance and by Visa) the agent informed me that in the event of any damage I would be assessed not just the repair bill but also Enterprise's "loss of revenue", which my insurance would not cover. So I wound up adding 50% to the cost of the rental - by then I had no alternative.



Loss of revenue assessments, while legal in some states, are dishonest and one-sided. They don't reimburse me for lost revenue if I have a flat tire and miss an important meeting. And their financial loss from an out-of-service car is not the "hypothetical revenue" but the "actual profit" - a much smaller number.



Needless to say I was very disappointed in this tactic from what had been my favorite car rental company.

I will never rent from Enterprise Again.. I made a reservation for the weekend since I needed to have my car worked on at the Toyota Dealership right behind them.. I was in a hurry and needed to get a car for an appointment. I was asked over the phone whether I had a credit or debit card. I have a card that acts as both so I suppose its viewed as a debit card. Nevertheless I have rented from them recently, they had my insurance and personal information, Knowing I was in a hurry and needed to get to an appointment, this person had to stay in his little narrow box and demand that I provide more paperwork (which was in the car at the dealership) instead of finding a creative way of working with me so that I could have made my appointment and then come back to give him what he needed. Yes I yelled, I was very very angry,, That's when he said he won't do business with me. That's fine by me.. I will never do business here again and I will make sure I tell everyone I know.. I hate to do these reviews. I have to feel that I was treated very unfairly to go to the trouble to do this.

I have had the most pleasant experience with Enterprise Renr-A-Car on Route 40 in Catonsville. They are a team of excellent young men who are dedicated to full customer satisfaction. They have become my family. Eventhough I have a car now, but I continue to rent with them every weekend. Thank you for your dedicated services.
