We went to Target to day to exchange some items they received for their birthday. My family did not send a receipt; I have had other things in the past to exhange no receipt never a problem. The receipt states on the back side that if you do not have receipt they will take a photo ID, Driver’s.When the clerk started to scan items I noticed that a lower number was on the screen I asked why. I was told that if you do not have receipt you get close out price. So something that should have rung up for $ 14.99 they would only give me $ 3.99. I do not believe this is even legal. All we wanted was to exchange for larger sizes.The manager could not even find anything in writing to show me. If we knew Target was doing this, I am sure none of my family would have purchased items to find out later we would not be able to exchange. Well they have lost my family business. On annual basis is over $ 5,000.00. Lastly the mangers on today 3/12/2016 had no idea how to handle a customer complaint.
