I have trying to use local businesses and went to Cat's Meow a couple of years ago to buy flowers for my daughter (I have been doing this every year since she is 2, she is 18 today). Linda did a great job that first year but her commitment and quality have been going steadily downhill. I called her on Monday for flowers today and explained exactly what I was looking for. I went to pick them up today and they were just blah, nothing special, not what I asked for....Linda then told me she literally spent 10 minutes figuring out what I wanted. I explained it again in person and her solution was to print what I wanted out and tape it to the vase....I explained when I went back and saw this that I could have done that, it was awful and not what I said I wanted. I called back a couple of hours later and was told by the clerk that Linda was going to fix it. Iasked them to call me back when I could expect to pick them up as we had other commitments for the day. No call...I finally called back at 4:45 and was told she was too busy with prom orders but would give me 10% off the awful work she had done. The clerk went on to explain she and I must have had a misunderstanding on what I wanted. I informed her that was not the case as I told her what I was looking for and had told Linda I would even be willing to pay more since this was for her 18th birthday. Bottom line for the first time in 16 years...I do not have flowers for my daughter. I will not be giving this business any more of my money as it is obvious she did not care about satisfying m y order on this special day.
