Shady Cove Campground & Marina

Great people, great food, awesome views. If you are looking for a stiff collar, high brow, don’t go here. It’s real people enjoying life.
The RV Park is lived in with month to month tenants and has some lovely daily or weekly sites. The owners are constantly working on updating and improve each area.
The restaurant is amazing. We have had quite a few different dishes and have enjoyed everyone of them.

This is not a family friendly place. Its like a trailer park with a bar. THEY HATE KIDS. If you want to get drunk with a bunch of fat flabby rednecks go to shady cove. GENE SUCKS.(gimme a call gene). After arriving with a 1 and 2 year old we were told if they new we had kids they would have added on a couple of zeros to our account. We were also told this was in the best interest of our childrens safety. We dont need parenting advice from the least savy of campground hosts'. Also, we were told to pay CASH to Gene. Im sure this helps him skirt the taxes. THIS PLACE has potential, as long deputy dog and his family of alcoholic wannabe Toby Keith lovin family sell it.

Shady Cove is a BEAUTIFUL place to stay, IF you have NO KIDS!!!! They do not like kids there and will charge you LOTS extra if you have them. Several people have moved out because of this and several more are planning on leaving. It is quiet and relaxing but unless you know someone there like the owners or other employees your kids and pets ARE NOT welcome. It has been said that the owner said if it were up to her she would make it an ALL adult camp ground. On Tuesdays they dont let anyone in the pool for it is employee day and then NO ONE gets in it at all.



The Owners, Gene and Lucy are very friendly people but one of thier employees Shauna is a very nasty person. She is not freindly to anyone at all. She walks around like she owns the place and is VERY rude. She needs lessons on being a people person.



There are way to many chiefs and not enough Indians there. The rules ALWAYS change and it is always different from one day to the next. The pool is for registered guest ONLY but people come from down the road and get in the pool and nothing is ever said about that.



Now the restaurant is WONDERFUL!!!! The food is just GREAT and you get so much you normally have to take it home with you and the prices are very good as well.



All in all it is a GREAT place to stay IF you have no kids.....I would highly recommend it to others with no kids and/or pets.
