Tippy Canoe Bar & Grill

Tonight I wanted to take my wife out to dinner for fish.

We decided to try JW's Place in Slovan for a change.
When we arrived there was only 5 cars there and about 10 people in the building.
Not very busy for a Friday fish night.
We each ordered a drink, and looked over the menus and decided on the fish.
We ordered and then waited, and waited and waited, over 1 hour and 15 minutes after we ordered we still did not have our food.
Enough waiting, we just got up and left, thinking they had forgotten about us.
We took a drive a bit north of them, to Tippy Canoe, up in Euren, it's the place we usually go for food.
It was a slow night at Tippy, only 26 or so people in the building, usually it is packed.
We were served drinks immediately and placed our order for fish.
8 minutes later, our food arrived!
The staff was very friendly, checking on our needs during the meal.
The food was excellent, and there was plenty on the heaped plate full.
The owner Kevin, sat down next to us and I complemented him on the fast and friendly service.
I told him to keep up the good work.
He offered to buy us a drink, but we respectfully had to decline as we ate too much food, that happens when you eat there, be forewarned!

I guess this night is another example of a life lesson...

Sometimes you have to have an unpleasant experience in order to appreciate the good that you have had all along?

Tippy Canoe, good people, good food, good place!
We certainly will be eating there again soon!
