Good doctor but nurses are rude

Husband was in horrible pain so he sat a very long wait in pain for CT results. They said that when he got back upstairs, to go to head nurse and ask for pain relief. She would not give even though downstairs, they thought he should have got it a long time ago. Then he is given a prescription and was told they would call it in if my husband knew the number. How hard would it have been for them to get the number of a Wal-Greens online? Anyway, the doctor which was not Unger was wonderful but the nurses all had attitudes and on top of that, a person should not have to wait to get pain relief from kidney stones over five hours.

Id find another Doctor

I have been a patient of Dr. Unger for about 4 years. When I go for my examinations the waiting room is always crowded and wait times exceed over an hour. I would not waste my time going there again. The staff has a bad attitude. Dr. Unger is condescending and makes me feel like a bother. Based on his comments it seemed like my prostrate biopsy may or may not have been ok. He did not seem to care to much either way. On my last visit was for my examination and test results but the tests had never been set up before hand. OOPS! They did the test at the same time of the exam and said they would call me if there were a problem. I wonder if they would even to bother. I will be finding a new Doctor.

Bad Service, from start to finish!!! BEWARE!!

I really feel I should warn you about this office and about their poor service!
A year ago, I had a vasectomy done at this office. On my preliminary visit, Dr. Unger was rude and basically told me I was wasting his time by asking him simple questions about the procedure. He told me ""I do so many of these every day, just read the papers"" and basically get out of my office. I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt, I wasn't looking for great bedside manners, I was looking for someone who was proficient at this. Can you blame me?
The day of the procedure, I get a call from the office to tell me not to bother to come, as Dr. Unger was ""out"". Really?!? I had taken the time off, my wife had taken the time off and to top it off, I had already taken the sedative they told me to take before showing up there.
After talking to the manager, they said another doctor would do the procedure. To just show up.
My appointment was at 11, they did not see me until 2 pm. So in those 3 hours my sedative wore off and when they did get around to doing the vasectomy, they suddenly had extra doctors and tag teamed to 'cut away.' I felt the entire thing! And no one should have to go through that!!!
So I have to say that this was hands down the worst experience by a medical professional I have ever had to endure!
Absolutely no one person tried to apologize. I think they thought that I should have felt grateful for the crapy service they provide there.
But guess what, there are other urology clinics, and I suggest you try any other place but there!!!

Previous review off the mark

The last review was off the mark and please don't go based upon this. I had a lithotripsy by Dr. Perry. The staff and Dr. Perry was great and I've never had any problems reaching a live person when calling the main number. You have to go through a few menu options but I've always had no issues.

Unreturned email, unreturned phone call

On two occasions I have attempted to schedule appointments with Cary Urology--once using the business' web site and once using the answering service. On neither occasion did I get the necessary returned phone call to schedule these appointments, and I had to place a second telephone call to the business to get any action. On both occasions the person taking my call told me that the method I chose to contact them was unreliable. I got no apologies for the inconvenience and delay.
