We had a wood floor put in our living room. The first shipment of wood was very poor quality, full of knotholes and rotten looking wood. My husband spoke with several people to get that replaced. They did not want to replace it. When the floor was put down there were gaps all over and placed where it was not glued. To glue it after it was completed, they drilled big holes and squirted glue in. They then left the holes and we had to have someone come back to fill in the holes. The method of filling in the holes consisted of mounding putty in the holes and having me come behind them to scrape the putty to floor level. I didn't see all of them and we still have mounded putty in some places. The planks against the baseboards have jagged edges and some are not close to the wall. We have splintered wood in the area that encloses a tile floor. A young man was sent out to do this work, not the man we were told would do it. He was never supervised and the floor was never checked for quality of work until we complained. At that time the"expert" who was supposed to do the installation came to start trying to repair the poor quality of work. I mentioned that if I had been able to be home this mess would not have happened. He said that if he had been here it wouldn't have happened. Now I try my best to dissuade anyone from using this place. Very disappointed. This floor was a re install after our house flooded. We used Russell's for the initial work and they are wonderful. They moved from the square in Carthage but for any other work they are worth hunting down.
