We're moving.The quality of food in this area is scary. This store rewrapes and redates.you can only put so much dye in a product.got burger that was black on the inside.I was disappointed

This place needs to go out of business. I avoid this place unless u absolutely have to go there but I you so make the extra 20 minute trip to the IGA in Minerva because they are so much better. Customer service is terrible at Thornes, you are lucky if the cashier even greets you and the management is even rude. They have a terrible selection of things and their meat is terrible.

One of the worse stores to shop. Prices are outrageous and many items, particurarly , in the dairy section are outdated. When I noticed this I brought it to the attention of one of the workers and was told that they hadn`t got to that part yet. Four days after they had expired? Come on people. We all know what thornes is doing. Rather than throw out expired items they go ahead and leave them in the dairy case in hopes that most people won`t look at the expiration dates and will buy them. I guess that means to hell with peoples health as long as they can make a dollar. NOT MY HOMETOWN STORE> They should be closed for good and get a decent store that we can trust. By the way I have had several people say that before they buy meat there they poke a hole in the side to make sure that it doesn`t stink. What the hell? I wouldn`t touch their meat with a ten foot pole let alone buy any . I feel sorry for people that have no choice but to buy in Carrollton, ohio. Want good meat at decent prices go to HULLS SUPER DUPER in NEW GARDEN on Rte. 9

Worst customer service EVER. Every time I go into Thornes I end up leaving in a foul mood because of the employees at this store. There are hardly ever more than 1 or 2 checkout lanes open so you end up standing in line forever while listening to the cashiers gossip with their friends or coworkers. Most of them will barely say hello to you and they take their time scanning and bagging items. I've just started telling them that I'll bag my own stuff so I don't have to wait forever. I worked at Kishman's IGA in Minerva for a few years and the owner made sure we were fast, polite and always got the customers out quickly. Thornes is nothing like that. The cashiers there will stop scanning your items just to gossip with each other. Thank heavens Dollar General Market is available now so there is an alternative for buying groceries with better prices and employees.
