Rice's Glass Company

This is a great a family company. They are good at what they do and they are very fast!!

I recently had the need to have my automobile's side mirror replaced. So, as I have done for many years, I called Rice's Glass Co. I moved to the Chapel Hill area in 1957 and have utilized the excellent services provided by Rice's Glass Co. for all of my glass needs. I have always been very satisfied with their consistent competency and prompt attention to my concerns. They are very professional and pay attention to detail in both the technical as well as personal areas. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone to Rice's Glass Co. for their glass needs. I can assure them of a very satisfactory experience and outcome.

i awoke one morning to discover that a large limb had fallen from one of our large Oak trees and had shattered my windshield. I called the Auto Glass Department at Rice's Glass Co. and they arranged for me to have my windshield replaced that very morning. I drove to Rice's and they worked in close harmony with my insurance company and provided me with a ride to work at UNC. They also had someone pick me up at work that afternoon and I was thrilled to have my problem, not only resolved that same day, but carried out in such a prompt and professional manner. I would highly recommend Rice's Glass Co. to anyone for their auto glass needs.

My husband was mowing the lawn and threw a rock which broke our patio door. We called Alton at Rice's Glass Co. and within 30 minutes a salesman from Rice's came and measured the door. He was very curteous and most professional. Within 2 hours, they had their technicians return and replaced the glass in the door and spent extensive time in cleaning up the shattered glass. My husband and I were most impressed by Rice's prompt attention to our emergency problem, their professionalism and true concern.

We have used Rice for both automotive windshields and one home repair, and always found their prices very good, their quality good, and their service fast .

This company tried to charge me an additional $125 for a free estimate. I wanted to purchase just the glass shower door only and have a builder friend install it. They would not allow me to purchase the door only. If I did, they were going to add an additional $125 for coming out and measuring which was suppose to be free. The owner complained on the phone about their driving distance and high cost of gas. The person who measured called me and said they were in the area. Even if they were not, it is about 20 miles from my house to their business. When I told the owner that I will be taking my business to Glass Masters, he HUNG up the phone on me. I would not recommend no one during business with this company.
