Overall
I love this place

Have yet to have a bad meal or bad service. Love the atmosphere... the Sunday bloody Mary bar... the live music on the weekends.... love the smell of the sale air out on the deck.... you gotta go see this place.

Overall
Horrible!

Ok This place does not even deserve an one star!!! Numerous things wrong!!! They were out of half the menu, took 50 minutes to get food after lots of asking, have a bar but not blender for a pina colada, ordered hamburger steak w/ mashed potatoes and they brought half a plate of fries, when i told them she brought another bowl of fries!!! This is the worst place ever! Service really sucked! Their were lots of families leaving and not staying to eat. They really need to get their stuff together if they wont to own a restaurant, very poor service. Have never been to a place so bad! Doors will close before long at all....

Overall
Poor food Quality

I live in Wilmington on the coast here and eat seafood weekly so this is honest testimony of harbor Masters food and service. This is the 3rd time I've giving this place a chance and tonight's dinner will be its last. Tonight, I ordered Oysters fried very lightly with sweet potato fries. When the food was delivered to my table by a different waitress, I expressed my immediate opinion about the burnt yes, black and dark color of the oysters. I told her I order the oyster "my exact words"... very lightly cooked where the batter is barley brown. She replied you should see them if you haven't order them lightly cooked and started to walk away. I caught her and told told her I would be needing silverware and my tea refilled being I had my food now. She forgot about me for at least 8 to 10 minutes enough for me to be complaining just getting up and leaving the restaurant. Finally on a trip while she was leaving the kitchen she saw me waving and remember about the silverware and tea. The Oysters were basically overcooked for any-ones standards. The sweet potato fries were room temperature and had been precooked. They definitely were not freshly prepared. I asked that waitress to send the whole order back and they said they would send my waiter out witch I've not seen since I placed my order 20 minutes before. He never come. I asked another waitress near by would she get my waiter. After waiting another 5 minutes I give up and tried a few of the oysters. Just as I described above, they were way overcooked for any-ones standards. After 45 minutes and not eating but about 10% of the meal I'd had enough. I had to ask another waitress for my bill because at this point it was time to go some where else and my waiter still a no show. Guess who, my original waiter shows up with with my bill. I told him to watch this. I took a oyster off the plate and placed it on the table and pressed it with my fork. It exploded from it being cooked to death and burnt hard brown. I also told him that I sat nealy 10 minutes without silverware before I got another waitress to eventualy remember and bring it. This tops off the punishment at this point he fills my tea glass for the first time as I'm paying the bill. I can't tell weather its tea or stained water. Its the lightest tea I've ever seen in my life. I took the tea glass and plate of oysters to the management and asked would they eat those burnt oysters or drink that mystery tea.... She decided to mark off $4.00 off my bill WOW!

I can't emphises enough, not to take your family here or anyone you care about. Yes It's beautiful decor and a senic veiw but the food quality after 3 visits is definatly rated poor.

Overall
GREAT

I'm not sure what the other person calls expensive (she must be used to McDonald's). I find this resturant prices very reasonable. My sister and I dined there and she had chicken fingers (had enough for both of us) and I had a GREAT salad and it was less than $20.00 and that is with drinks. Also the bar is beautiful! I would recommend this to anyone!

Overall
Overpriced.

Harbor Masters is overpriced, by far. The appetizers are so small that you honestly do not even come close to getting your money's worth out of them. The food quality is good, but at the same time, it doesn't equal the amount that you have to pay for it. Sunday mornings are insane. There are never enough servers and the atmosphere is hectic. I would not recommend going there with small children.
