It's an okay RV park. There is a laundry facility on site but there are machines that don't work. If you put an out of order sign on them the owner will take it down (multiple times) without fixing the problem, so he is basically knowingly ripping off a bunch of people who don't know the wash and dryer machines are broke. It's pretty pathetic, actually. If you aren't going to fix it, the least you could do is leave the sign up so people don't waste their money... Greed!
Nice park. Gravel, but clean and no riff-raff. Owners & managers are very kind, polite and we would definitely stay there again, if we went back to the area. They're also building another park with coverings, I believe, so the heat of the sun can protect the rv's. It gets extremely hot there in Carlsbad, NM! I don't know about the laundry facilities because I did not go in them, but if it's anything like the upkeep on the rest of the place, then I'm sure it's great.
We stayed here while working with some folks in Artesia, and the people were nice at first, but charged us quite a bit on electricity and when we left here; and spoke with them about the circumstances of our departure, they were rude and hateful, and charged my credit card without my authorization. Actually deceptively got the information honestly, when they agreed with the financial arrangement made, so they lied on top of it! The place is not kept up with very well, but overall it's a decent place if you can handle this type of people, hey, go for it. But we will NEVER return back here as long as I live (if I can help it). They, like many other rv places, want to charge a fortune for not so great service... my advice, go to Artesia or Carlsbad... Carlsbad has a great group of people; you may pay too, but it'll be worth dealing with kind, precious people, who are honest and fair... try Southwest RV Park, they are some 'really' nice folks. Just my opinion & advice.
Called to reserve a long term RV spot. None available. Wanted to charge weekly rates w/ no clue how long that would last. Was gonna charge $1,200 a month weekly. Said I would have to move by June 18. Took my deposit non-refundable. I didn't even go there. Found a much nicer space. Very rude on phone.
NO!This park could have SO much potential. Trim the dead trees, plant trees along the street side to cut down on noise, water the grass, construct a bath house and small laundry facility, clean the debris and the park would be great. It is close to the river, a small beach, WalMart and local restaurants. We stayed here only to visit the caverns. Will not be back. Maybe ok for you.
