Craig Memorial Community Church was founded in 1944, by the late Rev. Ernest Craig. This church was founded on faith and the love of God. The church was originally named Chapel Oaks Community Church. The name was changed in 1974 to Craig Memorial, in honor of its founding Pastor.
Craig Memorial is highly committed to and active in community ministry. Throughout the year, the church hosts computer classes for adults and tutorial classes for area youth, and provides special care services for seniors, Sunday worship services at the Crescent Cities Nursing Home, and ongoing support services for the Shepherd's Cove Shelter. Also each year the church host an Annual Community Fest Day, which features critical community health services, and provides school supplies for neighborhood children, Thanksgiving food baskets and Christmas toys for the area?s needy, and financial support to the Prince George?s Community Ministry?s ?Warm Nights Program?.
Current Pastor: Rev. Sherwood Walker.
