I rent through Enterprise almost every time when I need a car. My trip to Cape Girardeau was no exception. I wasn't sure of my arrival date so I did not have prior reservations and called the morning of the day I needed a car. I was shocked to find out the rate for a compact car. I arrived to pick up the car about 4:30 pm and had to wait until 6:15 because they were so busy. My bad for not planning ahead better. When I had a chance later that night, I checked online rate and it was about 1/2 the rate I was paying. I also checked Hertz and was able to find an even lower rate there. When I was able to show the staff (Joel) that the rate was substantially less, he adjusted my rate appropriately. Not sure why I was initially charged the outrageous rate and honestly, I was not very pleased, but thanks to Joel making it right, I'm still an Enterprise customer.
