I ordered a refrigerator from them. First, the order was wrong. I asked for removal of the old unit which somehow got missed on the order. Luckily, I contacted the store before delivery and got it added to the order. The next issue was the delivery. No call, no email as promised. The delivery guys did a circuitous work around, which meant I did not receive a call before they showed up at my condo. I found out by a phone call from my maintenance group. The new refrigerator was left in the middle of the kitchen, not plugged in and the hardware for the doors had not been installed. Something so obvious, you'd think they'd finish the job. If I didn't have the maintenance group, I am not sure what I would have done. It took all of 5 minutes to complete the install.
One of the store managers is the rudest person I have every encountered in my life anywhere. He chewed my husband out who is a Marine veteran who tried to get a lousy 10 percent discount on veterans day but he forgot his dd214 which he does not carry around and not indicated on his drivers license and we do not live in the Morehead City area. The mgr chewed him out in line in front of everyone and told him never come back. Well, that has not been a problem. We left and my husband called to get his name and my husband reported him for how he was so rudely treated. Yes, you have to have something that shows you are a vet but we have never had to do that at Lowes other locations. This store mgr should have taken him aside and just explained that to him and we would set everything down and left no problem. But if you can treat anyone that rudely no matter the circumstances we have not desire to shop there anyway. Not to mention my husband is a Marine veteran and if you are a veteran I just want you to mention this to them next time you shop with them or avoid shopping at this location would be even better. This was highly uncalled for. Yes we know there are people that try to get discounts that are not vets but this time a mistake was made. I have passed this around to who he works with and friends of ours and they told us that they will never shop at a store that treats their customers as such.
