New World Dance

My daughter has been going to New World Dance for 9 years. We started through Santa Clarita's Seasons catalog and my daughter was hooked! My daughter is part of the NWD competition team. The staff consists of industry professionals, Terry - owner and choreographer to music legends, e.g. Janet Jackson, Brandy - dance director that oversees her own company, Emerge, and pushes the envelope with innovative choreography, Venus - ballet teacher with an incredible pedigree having been a company dancer for Alvin Ailey, and there is more with master instructors that are well known in industry circles. It is this type of instruction that my daughter has received over these last years. To this day, she still loves dancing and can't seem to live without it! Thanks to NWD!

New World Dance is the best studio I've ever had the honor to learn from and was the best decision I ever made to begin dancing over there. I have been dancing at New World Dance for 5 years going on 6 and I have to say thank you to all of my teachers at New World Dance for treating me like all the other dancers and and for seeing me as a dancer and not for my disability. I am the first dancer to dance over there who does have a disability and let me tell you they do not exclude yourself or your child from learning if you have a disability the teachers modify the step or steps for your child or yourself to get it! I am 22 years old today and I began dancing over at New world dance when I was in high school. I was so inspired by these dancers at first in high school when I performed in a show for them. I have been dancing with the same teacher Jessica Shull for all the 5 years I have been at the studio and she is the best dance teacher I ever had the pleasure to learn from and let me say there are just to many wonderful things to say about her as a teacher you need to learn from this woman if you ever go to New World. Brandy Thilisen I am forever grateful that I got to perform back in high school in the New World Dance Team talent show for you and Terry Bixler. It was the best decision I have ever made to come to your studio to dance. The teachers and dancers are family to me and my home away from home, and family away fro family. I have gotten so many amazing opportunities at this studio. To getting a donation made out to me so I can go to Nationals to compete in a pageant, to having the dance team dance in a fundraiser for me to help me raise money to go to Nationals, Having the opportunity to dance in dance competitions at the age of 21, and lastly having the studio participate in a sizzle reel in hopes of more of my dreams come true!!!! WOW!!! Now I am working on finding who I am as a choreographer which I really want to become someday with the help of New World Dance. I can go on and on about how grateful I am about being at this studio which I will forever have a love for and so many memories will be remembered. Thank you New World Dance for holding such a huge place in my heart and helping me get to where I want to be as a dancer and now choreographer! I LOVE NEW WORLD DANCE!!!!

Horrible customer service!!! I was taking my daughter to the ballet/tap class with Ms.Linda and I had to take her out. Kids will be kids and my daughter was having one of those days and Ms.Linda grabbed and picked up my daughter and took her out of class. My daughter was startled when she picked her up and was crying. This teacher has no patience with younger children, is very rude and shouldn’t be working with young children. I asked her that if next time there was a problem with my child to let me know I would take care of it. Ms.Linda response was, “Well I’m not the teacher for everyone! And there are other dance studios out there!” I couldn’t believe how nasty, rude, and unprofessional she was. I spoke with the owner Terry regarding my complaint and he was even worse. He was rude and didn’t acknowledge my concern as a parent. I couldn’t believe how rude and insensitive the staff was. They might seem nice and friendly at first but if you have any concerns……WATCH OUT!!!

Artistically speaking... The best studio around! Great teachers too. From a business point of view, they could bigger but their focus is where it should be... On the students.
