Excellent gem in the middle of Canyon Country. Small and cozy sushi restaurant next to Drifters bar. This restaurant is under new ownership. The environment is friendly and the sushi chef DK is very sociable. The fish here are extremely fresh and DK picks seasonal fish that you don't normally see at other sushi restaurants. DK is very knowledgeable about the fish he buys and serves. He also gives you a quick overview of the fish and the part of the fish before you order it. The rolls are also fantastic. My friend and I came here when it was just DK manning the restaurant since his server and kitchen cook were at a graduation. I am quite surprised that this place is not as busy as it should. There are a lot of Sushi restaurants in Santa Clarita, but Aomori Sushi stands out more to me than the other Sushi restaurants in the SCV. The selection of fish is varied with the seasons, Sushi chef DK is friendly, sociable, and a pleasure to be around. I would recommend this place to anyone!
