Stark County Child Abuse Department provides support programs and services to children suffering from physical and sexual abuse, injuries, emotional and psychological disabilities. The department utilizes services of a wide variety of professionals, such as attorneys, audiologists, child care workers, coroners, day care personnel, dentists and nurses. Its staff also includes physicians, podiatrists, psychologists, school authorities, teachers, social workers and speech pathologists. It has a special unit that investigates reports of child abuse and neglect. It has partnerships with various agencies, including Public Children Services Association of Ohio.
