I had box dye in my hair&I was looking for a subtle balayge, so I was recommended by a friend to go to Marlee and this salon because I was told she was good with color. Keep in mind, I have not box dyed my hair in a year so there would be two colors when bleaching the hair; which I understood. Once it was all done and dried I was shown a piece of my hair from the side(not the back of my head) and it was two different colors. I agreed to receiving toner in an attempt to make the two colors blend. I left the salon and went home like the normal. Once I was able to see the entire results of my hair, you could see how bad it was. The had thick strips of just blonde hair and the other side of my hair did not! Friday I called and asked to come in and try to fix it/speed up the next step. I explained to them that it looked really bad and how I couldn't believe they would let someone walk out of their salon with completely two different tones of hair.I told them I did not want to wait until 2 weeks like I originally had booked my next appt. The girl reluctantly said I could some in for a consultation on Tuesday and so I agreed to it. However, I could not wear my hair down due to the fact that it looked so terrible so I went to a salon in Novi on Monday where they addressed my issues and showed me how the amount of highlights/balayge wasn't evenly distributed throughout my hair. I called them today and I was told by the manager that since I didn't follow their policy and go back with them to get it fixed, that no refund could be done. Mind you, I was never aware of their policy and what it entailed. I was under the impression that the owner is all about customer service, but it is apparent that not even for their clients that are in a scenario like this, will they offer a refund of $80. It was great that they offered a new client discount but I don't think even $80 was worth what I paid. I would not recommend this place.
I received a salon & spa package as a gift for Valentine's Day and as a first time customer, I was pleasantly surprised. I was offered a wine slushie while I got my pedicure. And today, three days after my spray tan a male coworker asked if I'd been tanning. I honestly cannot believe the color looks so good.
I have gone here for years but after I left with hair color all over my forehead after my last appt and then missed an appt and tried to reschedule they were very rude about rescheduling. They wanted a credit card on file to schedule. They have canceled my appt on me or changed my appt several times and even scheduled me with the wrong stylist. I think they are very overpriced, rude and poor quality. I have gone to 5 star salons before and this place doesn't even come close to the customer service I received at those places. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else.
Staff are stuck up, rude and difficult. Many lack basic skills. I got a supposedly hot stone massage. In the beginning, the stones were so hot they burned my back and I yelled out twice. Then I heard her lay all of the stones out on the counter until they got ice cold and then put the rest of them on my back.
What a complete disaster and anything but relaxing.
I am very suspicious of the 5 star reviews here. I don't believe they are real. They can’t be.
NEVER and I mean NEVER have a service done here. Overpriced, rude, and low quality work. They have no idea what they are doing.
I have been a client here for some time. Every time I go, the staff is friendly and the building is always spotless. They also donate their time and skills to various charities and that cannot be said about many businesses or people. Cannot recommend Indigo high enough!
