KLM Van Lines

Worst moving company ever, broken items, when I say broken I mean beyond repair. Late delivery, bad attitudes, lies about cost and how to pay them. It was a true nightmare. In fact I'm only writing this to hopefully warn other people before they use this company because rethinking about it gives me anxiety. No resolution from the company for all the damage they did either. You can see more reviews on yelp with pics of some of my damaged items

Have been trying for 5 months to get my deposit back for a move that was cancelled. Was told in an email two months ago a check would be issued within 48 to 72 hours, but it was not. No one answers the (855) 810-6999 number. I've left dozens of messages on the answering machine but no one responds. I've sent a dozen emails that no one responds to.

First red flag about this company was when I was told the deposit would be deducted from cost of the original move. When I got the estimate in an email it was not deducted. I called initially about this issue and no one returned my calls and the original sales person I spoke with no longer works at KLM.

Now that the move was cancelled it is impossible to get an answer from anyone at KLM. I've called Dispatch at (844) 384-3872 and been told I must speak with Robert, who has never returned my calls. Then I was told David is the contact, but he is rarely in the office either and never returns my calls.

I've use KLM a few times. Most recently, they moved me and as usual, the office staff were available, professional, and provided an estimate (underline the word "estimate" based upon what I told them. They were helpful in the fact that I required changes previous to the move and told me that I needed a 48 hour time frame if I decided to cancel. The movers, too, were prompt, professional, and worked diligently to get me out of one place and into another as quickly as possible. They packed our home and moved it without a problem or incident. All in all, they are reputable, fair, and do their best to stay within the estimate.

I was looking for a reputable company for moving and saw reviews from Yellow Pages, and Porch so I decided to talk to KLM Van Lines. The person who I spoke to was very approachable and informative. They sent me to a governmental website and informed me on the ins and outs and the dos and don'ts of moving which was great. I had a few prices from companies that sounded really nice and great, but when I looked them up on this governmental website, they had a lot of complaints. Telling me someone is bad doesn't really mean anything, but when I have a resource like that with someone advising me where to go really helped me a lot.

I sent them an email to let them know that the move went really well. It was a great experience. The pickup and delivery were great and the dispatch department always responded right away when I had a question.

From the begining of move the customer service was great and the estimate was what the salesman said and the Movers were profesonal and curtious and went out of ther way to please my family ,I highly recommened these guys and they took specail care to move my Baby Grand piano and also took the time to assemble all my beds and entainment center as well as a fast and good job

Prices doubled. Load never delivered. A nightmare company to deal with. Just check BBB and Yelp for real reviews. Do not use KLM Van Lies. I learned my lesson!



John S and his almost 6 year old article does not help my situation that involved lies from everyone at this company that I interacted with. "Corrupt" best describes KLM, based on my actual experience in January, 2016. I wish I would have paid closer attention to the BBB rating and Yelp reviews, which are spot on!

We chose KLM Van lines mostly due to their flexibility and can-do attitude. They want us to be done quickly and on-time. I didn't have the luxury of waiting between five to ten days. It was last-minute and they made it happen. I called around and got about eight different quotes but KLM was able to work with me at a reasonable final rate. It was an 800-mile move and we had enough stuff to go for a one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment.



Their people all did a terrific job. I talked to about three different guys throughout the process because everybody was rotating through the weekend, but all three did a very good job. David was very helpful, and so was Alex. The guys that were driving the truck and unloading it also did a very professional job. I wasn't there the day they unloaded, but from what I understand through my two family members, the crew showed care in doing protective packaging and picking things up that were fragile.

The professional sales approach of Alex was more realistic than other companies out there and that's what turned me on the most with KLM Van Lines. First off they were running a little late, and I wasn't too happy about it.



Second, I was charged $350 to have my 70-inch $10,000 television set crated because I don't have the box.



Third, the crew in San Diego is phenomenal on the loading and the unloading. But what happened was that they didn't have a truck, so my stuff was sitting in the street at 4:00 o'clock in the dark. Josh was still looking for a truck and I have a hard time wrapping my head around that.



Then I get tire marks in my driveway. I told them not to bring the semi up my road because there's nowhere for it, but they did it anyway.



Overall, I am satisfied with the service they gave me, and would use them again

Awesome service. Truly diligent team. Reasonable prices and extremely nice guys. I'd several unusual designed items and also breakable items and so they handled them very well. I actually used them back to come and move some extra items right after my move. I am pleased and really recommend them. My price increased a bit, but I had some additional items, and they were reasonable about it. They came out, and blanket/pad wrapped all my belongings, and got everything set up in the new place like they were supposed too.

I got a super deal from one of furniture stores in here in LA. I purchased everything a week ago but furniture people could not deliver anything before the end of June! I had to scramble and get help immediately! I tried to find any good movers in LA. My new stuff is quite expensive. My old stuff is quite good too. So i had to move old furniture out to a storage somewhere nearby, get new stuff delivered and put together. I was happy to find out that KLM Van Lines has their own storage warehouse right here in the area! They gave me a free month and their cost was lower than Public Storage. My furniture is now at home and I am ready to invite my family and friends. Thank you for making it happen and giving me an ability to greet my guests in a newly furnished apartment! Ben, and the crew were awesome. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. I was pretty shocked at some of the other remarks, but my move was just fine, and the price was great!

Wow. Same story here. Price was more than doubled when they arrived late for pick up. Delivery took more than 30+ days after being led to believe it would be 4-6 days. Lies, lies, lies. Do not use KLM. There are many other movers with better reputation. Shame on me for not doing my research ahead of time. These guys are very bad.

I have used KLM for 3 local moves in LA, and they just moved me, and my business up here to Seattle. They have always acted professionally, and have always performed to my standards. , and I know the owner personally. He is a good guy, and talked to me about some of the negative reviews on here. Told me about a guy who wanted him to move 2 storage lockers last week, and when the driver showed up he had 7! Probably one of the folks below... I'm a business owner, and I get a sales call from the BBB every week with them trying to extort money from me to turn my rating into a "A" rating if I pay them. For you folks out that put so much stock in the BBB, here's a little ABC News expose on how they work. It's shameful imho

Please read carefully..... This is a poorly run company that has done many people wrong with doubling their move rate and not meeting delivery deadlines. Check out www.yelp.com for real reviews. DO NOT believe the 5 star reviews....

They get an "F" rating from BBB for a reason. You have been warned...... Please research thoroughly and you'll discover how shady this business is.

I've moved a few times over the past couple years, and I've hired movers for every single relocation. Typically, the mark of a good move is how little you have to say about it afterward, success measured by the absence of calamity. It's telling then that on the day my family moved from Los Angeles to Seattle, my wife and I ended the night talking about just how much we loved KLM and how impressed we were by the work they'd done. From the beginning, they were consummate professionals. They replied to all of my messages promptly and clearly. They showed flexibility and patience during the scheduling phase (as our closing date kept moving).

I used KLM for my move from Pasadena to Charlotte, NC. I have to say my sales rep at KLM was the only one who didn't try to pressure me into booking with them, and even went as far as to give me the DOT site to check on the movers. I found a lot of the companies that had "good ratings", or that had no complaints had only been in business for a short time. I've been a business owner for a long time, and know when you deal with the public on a regular basis, complaints are inevitable, but KLM had very few, so I went with them. The crew showed up, and were very efficient, and very careful with all my belongings at both pick up, and delivery. I would certainly recommend then in the future.

I was helping a friend move down to FL from CA, and ended up getting a few quotes from other "Big Name" movers, and the prices for what she had were just unbelievable! I came across KLM Van Lines in the LA area, and they gave me a much cheaper rate. They came to her home, and wrapped all the furniture, and packed all of her things. She was very happy with the service, and when the crew got here to FL, they came in, and assembled all her furniture, and set everything up exactly the way we asked them to. I couldn't be happier with the service I received. The price went up a bit at pick up due to her having a some extra items, but it was still WAY more affordable than the other companies I looked at.

Just wanted to drop in, and say thanks KLM! Great job, great rate, and everything got there in one piece. I'll miss Cali, but the move went well!

I don't normally leave reviews, but I have to say that KLM did a great job moving my mother's belongings from Las Vegas out to me here in Nashville. She passed away after a very long struggle with cancer, and it was a very stressful situation to begin with, and the driver Ben, and his crew were very courteous, and understanding (I was very frazzled during the whole process!). I just wanted to take a minute, and say thank you guys for the service you provided. I know most people will only go on here to complain, and I thought it was the right thing to do to let people know that these guys are professionals, and did a great job.

I was looking for a mover in the LA area to move me to Chicago, and ended up going with KLM due to the low price. I was a bit concerned over some of the reviews, but once I did some research, I realized that every moving company had some, and KLM had fewer than most so I took a chance, and I have to say that they did a great job. The crew was courteous, and professional. I tried moving some of the things myself, and the guys kept asking me to let them handle it, and it was there job.



They delivered in Chicago in 2 weeks, and the crew set up my new apartment, and got it done in a timely manner. All in all everything went well. I would use them in the future.
