I helped my parents buy a new mobile home from Byram. The installation was a nightmare. When we powered up the home, only half the house had power. They fixed that. Then we had a massive water leak under the home. They fixed that until it started leaking again a year later. One interior door closes by itself because it is not square. They didn't fix that. The back exterior door is sagging. You can see daylight between the door and frame. One side of the house is made entirely of a patchwork of short pieces. It's the side that visitors see the most. The columns that support the kitchen island are not secured in place and will spin around. We asked for an ADA compliant, walk-in shower. It has a 10 inch step up. We had to build a ramp to enter the shower. The quality and service are beyond poor. It has been a nightmare for my parents. I feel so bad for recommending they select Byram Home Center.
Just don't do it, there are other reputable mobile home dealers out there that will be more than glad to help you get a mobile home on your terms. Told these guys the payment I was looking for, was shown a mobile home which increased in price by 20k in the matter of a few days, payments were going to be almost double. They demanded "earnest money" without there being a contract, we had only gotten as far as filling out the credit application. We now are down $500 and they are refusing to refund the money.
