Joy Valley Woodworks is one of Maine's leading producers of custom cabinetry for the home and office. Founded two decades ago, the company serves residential and commercial Customers throughout the State of Maine. Joy Valley proudly employs some of the most talented cabinetmakers and finishing experts in Maine. Our products are distinguished by superior quality, outstanding craftsmanship and careful attention to detail.

Business History

Joy Valley Woodworks was started in 1996 in a renovated saw mill building on Joy Valley Road in Buxton, Maine. The saw mill had previously served to produce softwood lumber. In 2001 the woodworking shop suffered a disastrous fire with a total loss of the building, including all tools and equipment. Joy Valley's employees banded together and constructed a new facility measuring over 6000 square feet. The company was back in operation within 6 months after the fire. Joy Valley's customers remained loyal to the company and helped it grow and prosper. Today, the production shop is approx. 10,000 square feet in size with plenty of land for additional growth.
