Reconstructive Surgery
Dr. C. Thomas Yost, M.D. established the practice in 1978 after completing his residency. Dr. Yost's training in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery was completed at Eye & Ear Hospital of Pittsburgh. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and his undergraduate degree from Franklin and Marshall College. Dr Yost is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Videostroboscopy is a state-of-the-art technique that provides a magnified, slow motion view of the vocal cords in action. Videostroboscopy is used for those experiencing chronic voice problems such as hoarseness, vocal fatigue, decreased or loss of vocal range, discomfort, tightness or burning in the throat, sensation of “something in the throat”, and symptoms caused by acid reflux. Videostroboscopy also greatly assists the Physician in making an accurate diagnosis of vocal pathology including masses and lesions.
