Issue: Dryer stopped working. Scheduling is a bit clunky. Scheduled online, confirmed via email and text, then received email and text that it had been changed, but at least had enough time to change my schedule around to accommodate. Received a call from tech saying they were headed over...and they pulled in a few minutes later. They were actually 1/2 hour early. 1st tech was great, knowledgeable, ordered the necessary part, set up another appointment to install upon delivery, and sold us a warranty maintenance plan. My husband was very impressed with this tech. The part arrived, received text and email and phone reminder. Tech called to say they were on their way and showed up a few minutes later. Installed the part. Dryer worked. However, upon working it showed up another issue (we had forgotten that the button to turn it on hadn't worked for a very long time) so tech ordered a part for that and set the schedule for install. This tech was knowledgeable but seemed in a big hurry. The new part arrived, received text and email reminder. Tech called he was on the way...showed up a few minutes later. Installed the part, dryer works 100% perfectly! My husband asked him about the washer that is making a very loud sound. Tech said probably the clutch. Husband said, can we schedule to get that replaced before it goes out. Tech said no you have to wait until it goes out. Same tech as the 2nd service call and still in a very big hurry. We don't want to wait until the clutch goes out in the washer and we are without a washer for 2-3 weeks! It is clearly going out, the sound is getting louder and louder why do we have to wait until we have an emergency? Reason for the 4 star is because of the 2nd tech and being in a rush and couldn't seem to be bothered to answer questions. 1st tech was great. Just purchased the service warranty agreement...so we will see if it pays for itself or not!

I am extremely pleased with the repair work I just recently had done by Sears. I have a KitchenAid refrigerator (bottom mount freezer) and finally called to schedule an appointment for a repair after a persistent leak continued from my freezer. This leak was causing damage to my hard wood floors that I just had refinished last summer! I wished I had called sooner now! The serviceman was right on time and called to let me when he finished the job before mine and called when he finished his job prior to mine to let me know he was on the way. When he arrived I told him the problem I was having and he knew exactly what the problem was! A tiny little rubber piece to let the water drip out after the freezer automatically defrosted was disintegrating and clogged. The defrost process automatically started every few hours and the water was backing up in the coils and back into my freezer. Apparently this was a known problem with the KitchenAid and my model was before the design flaw was corrected - of course! The serviceman was extremely knowledgeable and courteous and made the replacement quickly. The problem is corrected and I am very satisfied. Sears even had a coupon on line that I used 20% off labor & parts! I am extremely satisfied and will call Sears again for servicing my appliances!
We have had a Sears Maintenance Agreement every year for 16 years, 2 homes in Burlington WA 14 years, 1 home in Fremont NE 16 years, and one home in Green Valley AZ 14 years,---- which is the best investment we have ever made. This technician in Burlington WA was professional, informative, had the part for our water heater on his truck, explained thoroughly what he was doing (valve replacement-- it had gone bad, causing a gas leak). These have all paid for themselves in yearly checkups, repairs, and parts. Double ovens which could not be repaired because of obsolete parts were replaced, 2 TV's were replaced because of the same reason, and a microwave that did not work was completely redone, right in our kitchen. Add on refrigerator repair, washing machine motor replacement, etc., and all the Agreements have paid for themselves. All this done with an annual yearly checkup, which has turned up potential problems that we didn't notice. We wouldn't be without our yearly agreement--it has paid for itself in full over and over.
My clothes washer was not draining all of the water in the rinse cycle and after about 3 weeks of going to the laundromat ( I was afraid to call the company I had service it before but was worried about the cost) I looked up Sears online. the online scheduling was very easy and they came to repair the machine in 3 days. I thought the rates were fair as well. I could not have been more happy with the technicians. they were very friendly, asked me about the error codes and the problem I was having. They informed me every step of the way what they were doing and when it was repaired they stayed to make sure it worked and there were no leaks. There was one leak and they stayed until it was fixed. It was not a fun job but they were very pleasant and provided excellent customer service. I will call them again if I ever need an appliance repair.
On Nov. 11th I had what I would call an incomplete service on my Kenmore refrigerator. Every year in the past 18 years that I have had these present Kenmore appliances the coils in the refrigerator were cleaned. This past serviceman said they did not need cleaning, but the receipt I was given said that the coils were cleaned, on closer examination they were not cleaned, which would put an additional load on the refrigeration unit , I have made a new appointment to have the coil's properly cleaned
The Serviceman was prompt and courteous. We needed the yearly maintenance check done on our refrigerator and as it turned out, it had nothing going wrong, so he was only here for about 10-15 minutes. I'll always rely on Sears Maintenance.
Sears Appliance Repair technicians are always knowledgeable, efficient and respectful. We feel safe with them in our home, and happy when they repair our appliances. Thanks, Amy & Dan, Anacortes, WA
