Horrible service. High rates, would not even come down on rates. $80 just to drive to house and $125 an hour. Contractor took his time trying to rack up hourly rate, then tried to say that my sensor in my compressor was bad and waned close to $500 to fix even thought it was under warranty. Do not trust them and would not recomend them to anyone. Had to pay $200 and I don't think the contractor did anything!
We have been customers of Morris for nearly 14 years and have never had less than excellent service. Saturday evening, our A/C stopped working. Monday morning I called Morris. They told me exactly how much the service call would be and how much they charged per hour and that they had me scheduled for noon the same day. The technician arrived right on time and had us up and running in 30 min.. I would recommend them to anyone.
If you are like me and will settle for nothing less than a trustworthy and competent heating and cooling company, then Morris Heating and Cooling is the right choice. My experience from my initial request to the follow-up has been very positive. The staff took the time to listen to my concerns and troubleshoot my issues prior to sending a technician out to my home. The technician was very competent and nice. He did not find something wrong just to find something wrong, but did walk me through all the steps he took while servicing my furnace. I definitely recommend Morris Heating and Cooling and plan to use them for all my furnace and air conditioning needs.
I woulld like to say that Morris Heating & Cooling (Steven) did a Excellent job, repairing my furnace! Also Thank You Larry for trying to help me over the phone in trying to save me a service charge. You really took me by surprise when you said to put you on hold so that I can try changing out the filter first to see if that was the problem. Most companies would have been quick to schedule the appointment & charged a fee for doing a simple quick fix like pushing a missed button! You even waved your service charge & didn't charge me a arm & a leg for the repair! The cost for my repair was way less then I expecting thanks for being honest & professinal. You sent someone here who knew his job & he went over with me step by step what it was he was doing so there were no surprises or hidden costs! He even showed me the location & how to fix it myself in case it ever happens again. WOW! I recommend this company to anyone & everyone! Thanks again Larry & Steven for giving my family & I a warm house again on this snowy February Day!
Today is friday the 13th out of all days:
I wanted to take sometime to send this message. Today our heat went out, I called a number of business in the phone book and left messages and awaited return phone calls to see who could help us with our heating issues. Larry returned a phone call to us about our heating issues; my husband spoke with him and explained to him what was going on since he new alot more about what was going on. Larry went on to explain a couple of different things he could do to help my husband out with our heating issues. Larrry told my husband he would contact a tech that was closest to us at that time and then that is what he did; within five to six minutes or so the tech called our house and the tech and my husband discussed what had to be done to get our heating issues resolved. The tech was in the area and took the time to meet my husband and to get the part to him that was needed for our heating system; since my husband could fix it and all we needed was a part. I wanted to take some time to say thank you so much for many reasons right now: one is that we have heat that is so important, it is so cold out and I have two children and its nice to be warm again. two, from the bottom of my heart want to say thank you for taking the time to call us back in the first place, taking time from your evening to help us out and taking the time to listen to what the problem was with our heating system and also to take the time to meet my husband to get the part that we needed so much. There are not to many people or businesses in my opinion that would take the time to help out someone especially if it didn't benefit them. Yes, morris heating and air got their money but they didn't rip us off either. I think the price was fair and in my opinion they are very professional in what they do. I think after reading the reviews that they had to be wrong; its hard for me to believe that anyone would have anything bad to say about morris heating and air especially after the great service we received tonight. I would totally recommend them to anyone and I will; and I would definitely call them again for any of my needs. They are outstanding and I would like to say thank you to larry and thank you to the tech that took the time to help my husband for this also. That tech deserves a huge thank you for going out of his way and taking the extra time to help us out; he went above and beyond what alot of techs would do in my opinion. I just would like to say thank you again from the bottom of my heart from myself and my family; if it wasn't for you all we would not have heat tonight, or maybe even this weekend and I so appreciate everything you have done for us.
Thanks Mrs. Huffman
I hope this email reaches you and I would love to hear back from you that it did. take care and again thanks so much; have a nice weekend.
I was reading the reviews below and cannot believe what I was reading. I had a 12 year old system that had a bad coil. Larry and his staff advised me that putting the amount of money into that old of a system was not a wise idea. He stated that I may want to look into replacing my system as that the new systems were very efficient and there were rebates both thru the vendor and thru the Government that I could take advantage of at that time. I talked to Fred in the office and he was very helpful and answered all the questions I had about my current and new system that he was replacing. I have had my new system for over a year an I cannot believe how much my utility bills have been cut almost in half. So I would highly recommend these guys as they have been to my house twice doing maintenance on my new system as I want it to last for years! Thanks Morris I REALLY Appreciate your service!
1/18/12. I had Morris Heating and Cooling out to look at my furnace. Per a different service provider, I was expecting to need a replacement on my 12 year old system. Morris did a full maintenance and replaced the igniter on my gas furnace. Total charges were $139.00, and the tech was there nearly an hour.
Satisfied customer, will use Morris again.
As a potential customer, I just read the posted reviews. In my opinion Mr. Larry Schmalz handled his responses with professionalism. Where did Frickinlyin come up with the "Ignorant Redneck"; comment? I didn't see that statement anywhere in Mr. Schmalz's responses. Sounds like ;sour grapes; to me.
I think I'll take advantage of the $80.00 discount and call. I'll post my review of Morris Heating and Cooling when my service is complete.
I am sorry but this larry guy has absolutely no clue how to be a professional and he needs to leave customer service to those who are ultimate in every way and will bend over backwards to make things pleasant for the customer. SO WHAT if people can not afford your much too high repair bills!! You socked it to them anyway and came back with a "shes an ignorant redneck who cant even spell" WHAT THE HELL does that have to do with heating and YOUR business? You cant seem to spell , either , btw, but that's beside the point. The point is, she was a customer, and YOU were "supposedly" the business she hired to help her out. You have a service to do and basically in the USA , the law is ...if you don't perform the services paid for ..you dont have to pay!
Hi Ms. (or Mr.) Dabbs, I see you changed your name to Frickinlyin, How very appropriate. Your Rant just further proved my point. It makes less sense than your first rant. Sincerely Larry. To all others who may read this, "You can't please everybody!". We run approximately thirty service calls a day and this is the only negative review we've received in 20 years of business. You can tell by the language that this is an unreasonable customer. For the next 90 days, Any person that reads this message and calls our company for service, referencing this message, will receive a free Service Call Charge ($80.00 value)towards the repair of their HVAC equipment. This offer applies to repair calls only and does not include routine maintenance. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to prove Frickinlyin wrong. Thank You, Larry Schmalz Service Manager Morris Heating and Cooling 859-282-8300
Long story, short this company came out to fix by air conditioner 3 times in the course of a week. They changed me over $300 on the first 2 "repairs" and wanted an estimated $500 on the 3rd "repair". Customer service manager (Larry) was more concerns with getting paid then actually fixing the air conditioner. The 1st repair was on 8/5/10, the second was on 8/6/10 and 3rd visit (nothing got repaired) was on 8/12/10. Customer service manager (Larry) and the last repairman stated that they should have caught the issue on the first visit but they didn't. Company did not discount or refund anything but states that they guarantee their service for 30 days. On a side note, my air conditioner is 4 years old. ***Please did not use Morris, their are dozens of other Heating and Cooling companies in the Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati area***.
There is no validity to any of the statements contained in the comment posted by Adrian Dabbs. She also filed a complaint with the BBB and after their invetigation it was determined that Morris Heating And Cooling provided the requested service properly, promptly & profesionally. I would be happy to supply these documents and details of the service calls to any interested party. Please contact Larry Schmalz at 859-282-8300. The Dabbs' wanted something for free. They neglected their equipment for four years and ran the system for a year(per A. Dabbs) without a filter change. When her equipment failed, she requested service then refused to pay. In my opinion Ms. Dabbs is a liar and a thief. I can also back up this statement with documentation. You can tell by her grammar that she is uneducated and is probably why she didn't take care of her equipment or could not afford to pay her bills.
