Hello....I received the word that the Burlingame Tree Department did approve of the removal of the Oak tree on Columbus Avenue on the property of Jim Wells and Carol Windsor...this is a sad decision in regards to the beautiful oak tree. It is not sick, or with disease. It feed the wild life, and is home to many. It has many properties that help the environment. One is its oak apple, that has healing properties to it when boiled. The tree could have been trimmed and the roots cut that is calming to cause the foundation of the neighbor's garage to move...NOT THE HOME, JUST THE GARAGE...for this the tree is being removed...cutting down a tree of that value is wrong. I am sad that the Burlingame Tree Department did not take steps to avoid the removal...
