WARNING: DO NOT GO HERE! I was visiting family in Burleson and became ill with extreme abdominal pain and uncontrollable vomiting. My wife took me to this ER because it was the closest one to my in-laws house. I was unfortunately seen by Amrita K Nanda MD and explained to her that this was not the first time I have been hospitalized for this same problem. I have been in and out of the hospital for 15+ years with the same symptoms and the doctors have been unable to determine what is wrong with me. I was in excruciating pain and Dr. Nanda refused to give me different medications to help ease the pain. She ran a bunch of tests though and I waited 2 hours for the test results to come back. Dr. Nanda came into the room and said that she couldn't find anything wrong with me and was going to discharge me. I explained to her that I was still in a lot of pain and extremely dehydrated and that her releasing me is unethical. I refused to sign a release form and asked the nurse to remove the IV so that I could go and find real hospital. After doing some research I learned that Dr Nanda broke the law by discharging me in an unstable condition according to the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act. My wife ended up running me around town trying to find a legitimate hospital to treat me and I suffered for an additional 5-6 hours before I ended up at Huguely in Fort Worth where they took very good care of me! They even admitted me to the hospital after I was stabilized in order to monitor my condition. As soon as I got home I requested my medical records from Medical City ER and was surprised to see that Dr Nanda stated on my paperwork that I REFUSED TREATMENT! This is an outright lie and my wife was there to witness the whole situation. I will be seeking legal assistance to go after the hospital. I am also uninsured and feel like this played a big role in Dr Nanda's decision to release me in that condition.

This is the best hospital in Johnson County. They took great care of my Dad and correctly referred him to a liver surgeon for immanent liver failure. Any delay would have cost his life.
My father was brought to the Huguley emergency room in May of 2015. He had quadruple by-pass surgery and was having difficulty breathing. He passed away. Now, I understand that my dad was a very sick man so I am not blaming the outcome on the emergency physicians who attended to his care. However, there are many things regarding the emergency physician and the group that we were not happy about.1. When my dad passed away and my brother was called to the hospital, they sent the chaplain to break the news to him. I understand that perhaps the chaplain is better trained in dealing with grief; however, my brother wanted to talk to a doctor and the chaplain could not have answer any questions regarding what had happened to my father. The emergency physician should have, at the very least, accompanied the chaplain. I am a veterinarian and there was NEVER a time when I sent another person to deliver the news to family of a patient that had died under my care. Unacceptable. 2. The emergency physician group does not contract with blue cross blue shield. This is the ONLY group within the hospital from which my dad received care that does not contract with blue cross blue shield. so now the estate is responsible for anything that blue cross blue shield wont cover. It seems incredibly shady that the only area of care in which you CANT pause to ask "is this covered by my insurance" wont contract with a majority insurance company in which the majority of the hospital accepts. 3. I called the physician group to let them know my dad passed away and told them that he died without a will so no one had control of the estate at that time, and it would be a while before anyone did. They have continued to send letters, address to my dad, that he needs to pay or the account will be sent to collections. I called them again, and was told that since some people may "lie" about things to avoid responsibility for bills a death certificate was required. I told them that since my dad was pronounced dead by the physician that is billing him it seems ridiculous that I should have to prove anything. I was told that they are just the billing department and they wouldn't know what had happened. That is probably true but when the left hand doesn't talk to the right it it reflects poorly on your group as a whole.
Worst Pediatrics doctor I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. If you you love your child pay attention and find another doctor. Rude arrogant worst bedside manner strike that no bedside manner!!!
*DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD TO THIS PHYSICIAN*First things first... You cannot get anyone to answer the phone no matter what option you choose on the recorded message when you call the practice. Secondly, the disconnect between the office staff and Doctor is atrocious! Due to their lack of communication I am out of pocket an additional $109.00 for "expertise and opinion" according to the Doctor (upon exit of the facility I was told by the office staff that everything was done at no charge per my insurance company, then two days later miraculously told that I owe an additional $109.00). The way the Doctor speaks to people is appalling... I do not speak to my dogs the way that she spoke to my child and I (in the office and on the subsequent "collection" call). I would not recommend this practice to my worst enemy! Do NOT put your child through this!!!!!!!
